Playability: 2.5
Okay, if all goes well this campaign would rank well in playability as it is quite fun though tedious at times. However there are several negatives that appear. First one is that most scenarios start in blank unrevealed or not good starting spots. There is a slip up in the second where besides the two options of getting into the fort, there is the option of using your priest to woodcut another entrance, not something the designer probably wanted, as going that way does not fullfill the VC. In the fourth scenario it seemed like red enemy was quite dead when I reached them... yep, later when I took a peek there was a pile up of villies at a granary depot and at TC about 20 villies standing! Also in the fourth scenario, your main celtic ally is NOT allied with you, probably not intended, I ended up homerunning this scenario. In the fifth scenario, there is real possiblity of your gaia heavy catapults being crushed before you have the chance to find them, ruining any chance to beat the Fortifications.

Balance: 4.5
You start out pretty welll in the business of building up, but as you scout around you will definetly feel the presence of the natives. there are some early skirmishes but the the hordes start to arrive if you are not careful. Also you will notice the variety of units each player is unique but strong. Also some players a 'blessed with plenty of heroes' so be prepared for them. There is a little bit of help if you can find it, but for the most part you will need find time and resources to build up and conquer well prepared enemies. The second has nice tough trick puzzle with skirmishes everywhere. The Third scenario you use one unit with some 'blind' help to help make the VCs, a good challenge and change of direction. The fourth gets hurt by your enemy having a Mirror tower. Fifth scenario battle royal where you must attempt to save units, while at the same time not accidently hurting your allies.

Creativity: 3.5
The story line is somewhat tedious, something about a search for unkown secrets just becuase a ruthless king desires it, interesting could have been more creative imo. These are not random maps, the Victory conditions are simple but usually more than one.

Map Design: 4
The opening scene really shows of excellent terrain, with a bit of swamps mixed in with some cliffs and buildings. As you begin to scout you encounter more variations of nicely done terrain, like clumps of dead wood trees. The terrain seems flat at times as there was not much elevation change, but terrain rendering is simple pallet work at the best, a lot of thought into making terrain that fits together. There are spaces, especially in the last scenario where the main battle field is plain flat desert. This is a good attempt at designing considering the time period.

Story/Instructions: 3
Hint section where not always helpful. The story is interesting but hard to follow at times. There are no bmps, and the grammar is sketchy at times.

Additional Comments: a rushed campaign, if the designer had more time he could have made it great
