Well, the campaign doesn't work. Maybe the reason is, that in the trial version the last upgrades can't be done, what means ES programmed something in this campaign aoe can't work with.

It doesn't work because you need the official ROR update from microsoft.
Download it from here
(copy this into address bar above):
(Make sure you have installed AoE RoR Trial version)
Install,open,open the First Punic War.cpx,then the scenarios of the .cpx will apear,right click them and then click Save File(to all .scx),start aoe(full),click scenario builder,than campaignmaker or whatever,make the campaign with the scenarios and its done...

for those of you who cant get this to work use this instead http://aoe.heavengames.com/dl-php/showfile.php?fileid=2226 it also contains all of both aoe & ror trials campaigns and scenarios
i fixed the ror trials campaigns/scenarios to work for ror full by using the campaign manager, extracting the scenarios and editing their version into ror. the reason why they didnt work but instead crash or tell you something else ridiculous is not because you need the patch but is because ES apparently made the scenarios in the campaign version to be aoe trial instead of ror (which makes me wonder if ES made these scenarios in aoe beta or aoe trial before ror even came to fruition) but anyways for whatever reason ror full does not recognize carthage, rome and slingers in an aoe trial scenario so it bugs up and crashes (and of course this does not work in aoe full for the stated obvious). all this has been bugging me for years why i couldnt get ror trial campaign/scenario to work in full and couldnt figure out the solution until i found campaign manager. :)
