Ultra Small Scenarios Pack
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These scenario's contain the smallest possible map sizes ranging from a single tile* to 9x9 tiles which can be used for small puzzling/intro scenario's. Each scenario has an additional similar scenario with the "Lengthen Combat Mode/Triple Hitpoint Mode" activated in case you want to use this.
Also included are edited "Enhanced Editor" files, "empires.dat (Data files)" with fixed Editor Radius, allowing free placement and overlapping (even on the black borders/map edges!) for each unit/building/civilisation, something which is not achievable using the normal "Enhanced Editor" and is particulary useful for these scenario's.
Note: The MiniMap layers (blocks) usually overlap the User Interface a bit, this is perfectly normal though.
*When using the single tile map, you can't "scroll/move" across the map because it's so incredibly small.
#data/data2 - #EnhancedEditor_RadiusFix_AoE/RoR:
- "empires.dat" files with fixed Editor Radius.
Installing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To use the scenario's in the Scenario Editor, simply copy them into your "scenario" folder in your Age of Empires directory.
Default location:
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires\scenario
--
To use the Enhanced Editor with the Editor Radius fix, copy the "empires.dat" file in your "data" ("data2" for RoR) folder, overwriting the old empires.dat (IMPORTANT NOTE: BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR ORIGINAL EMPIRES.DAT FIRST!).
Default location:
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires\data (AoE)
c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires\data2 (RoR)
After you are done with editing, apply the original (the BACKUP) empires.dat again to playtest your scenario like normal.

No idea... But those DATs are really usefull, i always used to hate that i couldn't put desert patches near the map edge... Good work! :)

Cool, now we just need 10x10, 20x20, 30x30, and 40x40 maps.

Yeah... The .dats are handy, but the map sizes are just too ridiculously small. You should have gone with what he^^ said and made 10X10, 20X20, etc. The only ones I think I'd ever use would be 7X7 and up. The other ones are just ridiculously small.

Not the most useful size of the scenarios, 1x1 is completely useless IMO. Also the editor enables placement on desert patches and other stuff near map edges, but makes some objects unplaceable. Still it is an incredible utility, it just needs a little fixing.
