A new section is being made in the Granary (It's not yet up) to showcase the best that the downloads section has to offer. This includes campaigns, scenarios, utilities, or whatever, anything that stands out above the others and/or was has been influential to designing, data editing, etc. In this thread you forumers will nominate what you think should go in there, and the staff will decide what gets accepted. GOGOGO Edit: The Campaign of the Month will also be temporarily showcased in that section.

The Heavenly Escort - Phatfish
All Andrea's stuff

All the top rated downloads of course - I nominate them all. But that would make it a rather big "Best of" section I think...

PhatFish! That reminds me.

I'd like to nominate "The Heavenly Escort". It's combination of unique gameplay, beautiful eyecandy and bitmap, wonderful plot make it a great scenario. Oh, not enough you say? Well how about the best hex-editing anywhere! It's a great example of what can be achieved by an insane individual with too much time on his hands. :P

Even though it's just a trial version, I'd like to nominate Gumble's Ugahond Trial version

It is one of the best I have ever played!

Even though it's just a trial version, I'd like to nominate MrCheeze (the person)

It is one of the best I have ever played!
I agree completely!

"Mrcheeze your genius but not quite a Gumble-kind-of genius." - Gumble
"We're all friendly here except MrCheeze but he means well" - Ninetales (Not exact words)
"Gumble has no words for you, you’re boring now. -underrated- that’s a joke, Gumble is OVERSTATED." - Gumble
(Not even sure what he was saying there)

Definitely emories Of The Gupta Dynasty at the very least. Remember of the top 7 most downloaded Age of Empires Campaigns Andrea holds 6 of them including all of the top 3.

I don't want to be picky, as there are many other great works which are just as wonderful as these. I nominate the following top 3:

AoE campaigns:

- Ankor Wat and the Khmer Legacy

RoR campaigns:

- Tai Gun II

Utilities:

- AoEd/RoRd

There are a few classic campaigns I would like to nominate as well:

- Rasher's Magnus series

- Phill's campaigns

- The prophecy of the First King by Ty freeborn

Are contest campaigns allowed?

Yes they are. So I think AoH and raspatch should be there too!

Take off 'Ugahond Trial Version', it shouldnt be up there.

Too many people say far too much about Gumble. They also claim Gumble says far too much which isnt true.

I agree: it's a trial version, and really doesn't belong in any sort of "Best of" category. The only time I'd nominate one is if the person uploaded a revolutionary scenario in the form of a teaser, but then later discontinued the series.

Thats not the reason why Gumble wants it off. And it also an incorrect understanding. Ugahond is the first installment for the Raviyl Campaign. As a piece of work it CAN be judged seperatly from the rest of the Raviyl cannon like Gorden Farrel's Persian Wars series. What Gumble meant is that although Ugahond trial version is the public release a updated version is going to be released along with the next installment, Ati'lok. A new rating will need to be tallied and then if the new version makes the cut it gets added to this list. Very soon Gumble will release a sneak preview of the upcoming release. It will also have list of the changes and new features of this upcoming (probably) final version.

'Trial version' is a bit of a misleading title. 'First edition' is better.

Nacht, Gumble nominates 'Age of Ice' by Fruktfisk as well as 'characters of ancient India' by Richard Aims.

Too many people say far too much about Gumble. They also claim Gumble says far too much which isnt true.

Yes Characters of Ancient India was a fun campaign. I never beat the last scenario though so I might have to go back and play it again some time.

- The Martial Emperor by Rich Parker
- Mago by Ingo
- The Cockleshell Heroes by grex
- Like a Thief in the Night by The Rasher
- Song of the Sung by Eggman
- The Slave Pits by Ninetales

Consider the Ingo's "budonian tales" too. It's by most I think considered a top-class campaing.
