  • The Official Guide on Being a Forumer

Ok guys I have noticed recently it seems some people have been asking a lot of question on various things, like how to act in the forums and what certain things mean. I am going to just do a thread to list some various things people might like to know. Most of these are going to be links and not everything is written by me, but here goes.

yea they are used alot baicly to make a wall around your men so your enemy gets slughtered and you dotn lose archers (in age 2 that was useless because archers where so cheap), also think about muskets in the box formation notice how they surround forming a meatsheild to be hard to kill the cannon

heres one Eco/Econ-Economy, and what does MMO mean?

Well your newbie, rookie, inter, expert, master?

    Are these AoM terms?

    AoE (mainly RoR) terms where:

    Rookie
    Expert

    AoC is divided greatly:

(I'll be using arabia as an example map to show skill)

    - Newbie - (usually fc as do not know how to flush, maybe even worse, sometimes completely knew to zone)

    - Brook -(Bad Rook) In many ways like a noob but do not have the immaturity associated with noobs, also usually know the basics of the game, and no the strats

    - Rook - Know the basics plus some, can flush, can play well, and in AoC at least know the basics and strats and build orders and have some adaption.

    - Grook - (Good Rook) Someone who beats rooks and looses to inters, are generally good and are the highest level you'll fine in non-rated roms.

    - Inter - Usually in rated they are 1750++, they know the game very well, can do build orders just like the experts, just dont have the adaption and micro that the experts have

    - Expert - The best out there, 2k+ in rated, they compete in tournaments, and do very well.

    --------------------------------

Now this is AoC, and a rook in AoC is the average player and is actually very good. A inter is very upperclass, if you are not very good at AoC, I find that most newbies cant tell the differnce between inters and experts.

Now maybe this is because AoE2 is 7 years old and it seems like most rooks have been playin at least a year or two. These guys know alot more than the basics of the game, they know the fine points, they just lack the micro and adaption others have.

Now I am basing this off interviews with experts I have read and waht people have said so I might have gotten I few thinks wrong. But seriously, please dont tell me that a inter isnt good, a inter is very good. A inter is almost the same as an expert, just lacks micro and adaption, that experts have. In fact if experts have a horrible very bad game (not top experts, just 2k+), a bad map, far away resources unlucky guesses, inter has a good game, nice map, easy to wall, nice resources, good game, gets lucky, then the inter might have a chance at winning.

Now maybe thats becaz AoE2 is so developed, but seriously, inters are good. If this is AoM then I'll shutup now.

    Inters rated 1750 LMAO!!

    You forgot extreme.
Many experts and extremes play in unrated.
experts rated 2k dude thats a joke!

Its nice you too the time to post this but try to make sure its right. My site already cantains those terms anyway.

Your telling me that "experts" dont play in rated! LMAO!

Hmmn, fyi I'm talking about AoC rating systems as I do not play AoM, maybe thats something, but I thought it was pretty accurate!

But w/e feel free to correct me, and I base it on rushing on arabia because that is how the game is played, looking at tournaments of experts and stuff the most commen and most popular map is arabia. And if you look in a rated room 75% of games are arabia.

W/e I am probably wrong, but one thing I do know is experts do play rated, lmao.

Also in your site it sais flush involves only M@A and archers, you should correct that.

    Extremes?

I mean aoc too i dont play aom till i get my new pc

I through you said experts play only in rated I misread. sorry about that.

Extremes is a term used on zone to mean above an exopert, but below top.

As for flushing i dotn know too much about rushing what else is used beside m@a and archers? should i just put fetdal age units insted? People tend to used m@a and archers in all rushing games i play unless they are crushing.
