Swiffle put together a really great audio file giving you valuable tips in stopping one of the more popular strategies out there - the Ottoman Jannisary rush. I have been recently playing Otto and I can testify to (a) just how deadly the rush is (b) how accurate Swiffle's advice to stopping it is.

Wow cool! Audio commentarys, I loved those in Warcraft3. I learnt so much from them!

Argh, too bad I gotta wait till next friday before I can look at replays and play the game...

There are really two ways to stop it.

1) By Swiffle's advice
2) By raiding him asap, it depends if you can age as close as his though.

I have a guide myself for stopping the ottoman rush as the ottomans. I don't like rushing much, but I love ottomans, so I found a counter. Check it here:

My kill ratio against an ottoman rush was about 2.5 kills/deaths. My opponent resigned as soon as I started attacking his forward base.
