That happened to me after I won a game and everything was revealed. First time I've seen it happen.

Looks to me like you're missing a texture. Sure you have everything installed properly. Also check your graphics settings, see if that helps. Updating your drivers might also help.

It doesn't look like he's missing a texture, it just seems to have used the... wrong one. Does this happen every game of Caribbean? Might have just been a RMS glitch, throwing down the wrong terrain. If it happens when your computer is the one generating the maps, make sure you havn't modified any of the pre-made RMS scripts (it would probably go OOS if you had), and uuh... Well, you can always reinstall if nothing else works.

It also happened to me, I think it's a bug with the map.
It's not happening all the time but sometimes just one of the Island has a ugly dark shoreline..

It's happened to me once or twice

yeha, tha show up too on my game, but is like 1 island have black edge while other island is perfectly fine. not sure why.

i has happened to me once (not sure about my bro) but that is it. Although I don't play it often.

Nah I havn't done anything to my game, and got the latest drivers. I'll mess around with the graphical options, maybe a bad combination is causing this.

I've seen this glitch pop up in my game once or twice as well.

Looking at the photos, it appears that you have a poopy poo pc. Hear me out... It doesnt seem that your pc is capable of displaying the water as a transparent texture - When you place an object in the water using high graphics settings, the object is half in and halk out of the water. Try your settings on high, although it may make no difference if ya video card doesn't have the needed hardware to display the correct stuff. Time to plug the 6800GT again methinks

I also get "dark beaches" on Caribbean maps. :|

One of the graphic settings set to "medium" is causing this. It's weird because beaches and shore lines on other maps look fine.

hmm well I have a 2gz and 9600xt (im going to upgrade soon), the shader level is on high so maybe thats the problem.

The UI is made by Ekanta on AOEsanctuary, and it's very good (improved alot from the default version)

I assure you that that is NOT theay it looks...O and BTW why is you UI all funky?? thats not the small or large version of the UI...is that the retail version??

There is a known bug where Caribbean will sometimes fail to add the shoreline textures to one of the islands. We'll fix it as soon as we can figure it out.

Carribean was the first map I played when I first got it, and it didn't look like that! hopefully, it never will!
