No offense, but that is very old news, which is why it really isn't discussed much on the forums. However, those of us without the x-pack don't know what the big button techs are for the Aztec or Sioux. Do you (or someone else that has the x-pack) mind posting some of the techs?

The Iroquois and Sioux get big buttons too, just in case you didn't realize.

Now that the expansion is out, perhaps this would be a good place to have a more specific discussion on each of the buttons!

Aztecs seems to ship more units then Iroquis. I think the Iroquis big buttons are a little nicer since it doesn't mess with your pop, and you can decide which units to build with the resources.

As Sandy already said, Aztecs are generally get units, Sioux are generally get upgrades and Iroquois get resources.

All TCs will likely have a unit tech (probably for use in defense like minutemen, as villies will be vulnerable while spawning warriors), and teh market mercantilism equivalent, and maybe one or two more.

I believe you mean: "X units per Y interval of time," for the solution varies.

Yes, you're quite right. My only excuse was that it was 2 AM when I wrote that.

I think 't' is much better to use than 'Y'. Not that it matters.

Picky ftw!

Does anyone know how much 'X' increases by as 't' () increases?

You check to see if there are multiple steps for the TC one, like the iroquois 5, 10, and then 15 tomahawks.

Are these techs strictly one time use or can you use it on every house/mill/plant. you build?

Counter the attack, then Counter Attack!!!

Really good, put it in the your main post. I noticed how many anti artillary buttons the Sioux got.

Cause the Sioux have 0 artillery. Their best siege unit is.... a War Club!

Near as I can tell, anyway.

The Big Button techs are not available 1 time/building. Most of them are 1 time only, with a couple exceptions (the Iroquois 5/10/15 Tomahawks shipments from TC, Aztec 4/8/12 Jaguars from their TC).

If 1 unit per 2 minutes, then dx/dt = 1/2

Calculus ftw.

What are the names of the Aztec big buttons?

I noticed that you didn't have their names while you DID name those of the Sioux and Iroquis.

posted 10-19-06 07:18 PM EDT (US)     19 / 32
I can include them if you'd like, I didn't do so because many of them include funky names that are both hard to remember and troublesome to transliterate.

i know i dont want to play an aztec for over 30mins

21jaguar prowlers(3+6+12)
15 puma spear men
15 arrow nights
15 macehualtin
15 eagle runnner nights
7 skull nights
______+
=88 units
88 units for 6850 resorses how dose this compare to buying them?
all these big buttons are at different buildings so they can be reasurched at the same time.

6850 for a giant army, cant wait to play aztek

imagin you just destroy a aztec army and a fem mins later another if marching down on your recovering base!

p.s.
is this right about the jag prowlers from the tc?
you get:
3 for 450f
6 for 450f, 450g
12 for 450f, 450g, 450w

Can someone please explain to me where I can find this so called big button? What it does? It seems to me that it is massive upgrades. Although I have yet to locate this so-called big button!
posted 10-24-06 10:26 AM EDT (US)     23 / 32
When using one of the native civs, click on any building. Just to the right of the small buttons is a tall, rectangular "big button" that provides an upgrade. Every building (other than trading posts) provides one big button upgrade.

Love the big buttons for aztec.

Playing a treaty game 30 or 40 means if you're smart, and you play it right, you can attack with a diverse army, buik of it as Skull Knights created from the Fire Pit, with the others all shipped units

Ship a big shipment at 199 pop first. Then do all the unit big techs, have a lot of TCs to get lots of Jag prowl knights. You should be able to get your pop close to, if not over 300, with 200 of those being military. Ima try this tonight against AI.
You should have around 50 Skull Knights and a number of other units from researches. Skull Knights are very strong (600 HP as legendary!), and because they are free, you should have done all the other unit upgrades etc and still have a ton of extra resources for replenishing your army.

All in all, I think this could compete with the dutch in army size.

In a six person free for all I managed to get a population of 316 (or something near that) via big buttons. My total military pop was ~146.

Yeah, that was a whole lot of fun. These buttons are handy late game.

Do you get the TC button back by deleting/building new Town Centers?
