This was originally posted in AOTS but I think everyone must see this post. Follow his advice and you can quite easily become 2k.

German- level 50 - fast fortress.

2 SW - 3 SW - or 700 Gold


=> Paletine housing => with trading post => ship stuff => War Wagons spam.

Resign on Sonora vs Ottos.

XP farm with a friend, keep building and deleting mills, get advanced mills, which you will need to get to get Germantown farmers.

Vs a rush get 700 gold and 9 xbows.

Merc spam is not effective anymore, but can be used as a surprise strategy.

Get all three cavalry cards for WW wars. Raid with free uhlans + get treasures with them.

When you lame your way to victory, laugh at them for extra morale, especially if they're German also.

For treasure hunting watch recs, there's a certain amount of distance from treasure boefre guardian goes back and his health regenerates.

Against nootka rush, get 700 gold as first 2nd age ship

Against a maya rush, get 9 xbow.

Don't get church card.

Uhlans have low hp high attack, good for raiding flanking.

Make falconets against massed skirmishers/cassadors.

Hide falconets within WWs, place them in same area, makes it hard to micro culverines to hit your falconets.

Outposts have huge attack vs ships, and so does TCs, so Port is op on water maps since they get free TC wagon at every ageup.

FI is good too, 12 guard hussar card roxor.

Advance time is usually 4:45 colonial for Germans, flucuates with maps, and 7-8 fortress.

WW micro, separate them into various groups, hit and run vs heavy infantry with superior range, or even vs dragoons, etc.

Treasure steal, you can see stuff that you have explored but in fog of war, keep your eyes on the good treasures, if you see them move and health change, that means your opponenet's explorer is there, go steal his treasure like a true man.

Explorer killing gives 45 xp, melee attack, get advanced formation options in options, so his explorer speed will slow down once he's under melee attack.

Obviously it is lagit advice, i suppose at some point even german haters will have to play them to see how OP they r,
however IMO they r OP but i wouldnt say that they r i just think they r very powerful, as r ottomons but people have come up with ways to counter them, i think poeple call them OP because they cant find a way to beat them. All i think you would need is to do it mass enough troops to deal with the waves of merc and then he will WW spam, they r quite expenive IMO 300 resources and then he will make some falcs that is another 500 resources so i think if u can hold him of with superior number(his WW costing 3 pop) and then manage to get some successful raids off he will eventually run out of resources. i am only playing around the 1850-1900 mark tho so i donno how things change as they go on.

il add to this and share with you all iamgrunts german laming build order which he did to me (this is for ger mirror)

1.17vill col with 500 food poli
2.during transition enuff wood for 1 house + 1 tp
3.3 sw and fortress at around 8min
4.house card
5.age to fort with skirm, first card in fort is the skirms, during transition to fortress collect 400 wood for house+stable.
6.then u just pump ww send skirm - uhlan - ww - skirm i guess and never have idle tc and you will win

It is kind of sad, exact same strat, exact same build order, exact same civ. Micro and luck takes the prize.

LOL... that is damn stupid ><

I mean, the Settler count was almost the same, and so the Age up times. In both games their only military unis were Uhlans (Free) WW/Skirmishers - With exception of the one where grunt made xbows.

TOP 25 (Registred in that ladder):

15 Germans
4 Spanish
2 French

That shows exactly what laming means. As you can see, there are more than 15 Germans, because players like Daut (which fav civ is dutch) are using Germany right now. Spain probably came from 1.05 while 2 French/Ottos 1.04

There are only 2 Portuguese players. The TOP russia is around 35 while the British is over 70. And the only Dutch at top 25 plays other civs now - the 2nd one is over 100.

Make your own conclusions.

If anyone learns from this strat and/or steals my treasures...im slapping u!!

But lets just hope they understand ur joke and realise playing germans is a sin and is only somewhat acceptable at high levels wer u have to play germans to stay there (ie top 50)
