You seem to be suggesting that getting a sex change is as bad as smoking, but people with Gender Identity Disorder can't help it, people who smoke can.

I think the best part is, most people with gender identity disorder change sex so they can become gay (in other words, to keep having sex with the same people they were having sex with before). Aparently, wanting different genetelia isn't linked to sexuality.

They no longer fit into the limited classification we define based on sexuality, though I guess it could be called pansexuality. One of the things that strikes me about transexuality is oysters. What I mean by this is that oysters can change their gender during their lifetimes, but obviously humans cannot (naturally), thus we end up with people who feel they're in the wrong skin. And knowing you're different from everyone else, for reasons outside your control is one of the most painful things to admit and come to terms with. If you do finally understand it (i.e. yourself), you then have the daunting task of either dealing with it on your own, or reaching out to people. I remember when I fell in love with my best friend, and I finally after months of crying in my pillow, and stealing touches when I could, I told him, and his response just destroyed me. I took the risk, and it didn't work, and more people found out, and realised that I was different, and I bottled everything up, until I lashed out. I should have reached out, been strong, but the pain of knowing I was different stopped me. What I guess I'm trying to say is that these people who feel trapped, who feel alone, who feel confused, should be given the help and support they need. People worry obsessively about their image and they cry, rage, and hurt when normality is snatched fromt them.

I think that the people that judge and condem, that hurt, sometimes don't realise how painful there words are, and how deeply distressing their ostracising is.
