So it has come to my attention that some people have a hard time fitting in here despite the fact that things have become a little more welcoming in the past few months and that got me thinking. Maybe we need an introduction to Saloon culture. So if you read this before making a new thread, maybe you won't feel so left out!

Anyway, here are a few tips:

1. Have a point This may seem obvious to most until they read the threads here. It's sometimes hard to discern the point of something that's been battered in irony and deep fried in saloon culture. But if you make a thread, please, please have a clear goal in mind.
2. Fad threads are teh evil Old timers sometimes make these so it might seem like a good idea. It's not.
3. If it sounds like someone isn't being genuine, they probably aren't If you find yourself asking "Did he just say that?!?!" then the odds are, the poster was being sarcastic. Take a second look before flying off the handle.
4. Silly is encouraged Enough said. Please don't confuse silliness with nonsense. There is a difference.
5. Saloon Core Group Check out the thread. This is a great intro to "Saloon Culture".
