Topic Subject: Nubian Civilization for AOM2
posted 10-29-05 03:06 PM EDT (US)
Introduction: This is not a new mythology, but rather a spin-off of Egyptian Mythology like the Atlanteans in The Titans expansion pack and TheJhonmeister’s Vanir Civ, which is a spin-off of the Norse.

Brief History of Nubia: Nubia began as nomads around 3100 B.C. It first grew into a culture of the ancient world in 2240 B.C. when it started trading with Egypt. It was under Egyptian rule from 2150 B.C. until the eighth century B.C. when the Kushites drove the Egyptians out. During this long period under Egyptian rule Nubians learned about their religion, society, and knowledge of pyramid building. Throughout the ancient world Nubian mercenaries were feared because of their fierceness and determination. Nubia is located to the south of Egypt.

Favor is generated by building pyramids. Unlike Egypt that had a few huge and grand pyramids, Nubia had thousands of pyramids no less grand, but smaller. Although these pyramids cost more than Egyptian monuments, they generate more favor faster.

The Nubian Hero is the Kushite, which is a spear-wielding warrior that can heal ally units. You can only create ten Kushites.

Military Units: The Nubians train all of their military units from two buildings.

Interesting civ, but I think Bes has a god power that's too good. The Trojan Wall is virtually indestructible.
