1. Do you want all of your old shots to be put into this thread. And if not, with the mods' permission, I'd be willing to create an HTML page from which you can view all of them off the main page.

I really don't know. If we did that, I'm afraid this thread would be full to busting...

I say link the old screenshots to this thread in the main post. You could make a seperate HTML page like you said, or just go off of the original thread.

Custer, this is just a suggestion, but some people (like me) cannot view enlarged versions of thumbnails on any thread in HG no matter what the browser is. Maybe you could restrict thumbnails and only allow links like during the beginning?

Guys, if you already have screenshots submitted in the old AOE3 Eye-Candy Thread, please do not re-submit them on here. Luke and I are currently making a new page from which those and these (in due time) will be shown.

I have a page set-up now Custer, so if you want to get the screenies sorted - one thing I thought we could do is archive them by month, chronologically, onto that page, and then me could then archive new ones month by month too.

So some format like [name], [screenshot title as a URL] would be awesome, with the screenies sorted by month.

EDIT: Hold on, I have an idea. You said it is hard to edit large posts, but never said anything about making new ones. I say, have to seperate threads just like the Eye-Candy Guild. One for submitting, and one for viewing. Lock up the one for viewing. Then as time goes on and there are a significant ammount of new screens, just unsticky it and make a new viewing thread with all the old and new ones.

So basically (If you didn't read all that ), have a seperate thread for viewing and submitting, and when you get a lot of new pictures, get rid of the old viewing thread and make a new one with the old and new screens so you wouldn't ever have to edit.

I liked the first one. What you do is go to screenshot in the file menu and click hide cursor and hide console. The take the screen and it won't have any of that there.

And adding on to my idea, Custer, did Reinfire ever send you the word document with the links of all the screens and the members and all of that? Because if he did, your job would be a lot simpler for you. You would just add to the word document as time goes on, and after a while, just copy it into a new thread.

Alright, first off, GB, I think we graded them already (or else, zeus didn't put them up --I'll check today ).

Good idea, but if you only took a limit, it would kind of hurt AOE3H's eye-candy department, wouldn't it? Like Shaw, he's already got a ton of shots, and if took the best 5, he would have already made them, and there would be no point in making more screenies, if you see it from that angle.

I like that idea too, but it would turn this pretty darn close to the Guild....

Also, I do have the word document, and I have it all in HTML anyways.

A lot of good ideas out there, but I think you guys should vote on it or let the mods decide...

When you look at the old eye-candy thread you see that many never even reached 10 shots and those that did have immediatly 30 shots there, which I find a bit overdone. And this thread isn't meant to resemble the guild in training people, but we all know that practice makes perfect. So in general your 15th shot will be better than the first one (exeptions there). So when you put a limit of lets say 10 shots you can replace your first for your 15th (or any other arbitrary numbers) so you'll only get your best shots listed here instead of every shot you ever made.

Would you've bought AoE3 when ES would have released all their screencaps pre-release including screens that aren't up-to-the-max and with errors in them? Probably not, because the average of the released screens would be lower then, then what they did now, only release the best. That's the way you're supposed to leave your advertising card, only the best represented. And that's what the eye-candy thread is, right, an advertising card.

Okay guys, Luke and I have decided what we are going to do.

You may new screenies in here. Those will still be put up on this thread, but every month, they will be archived to a post.

But, we need you guys to choose the best 10 shots you've submitted either in here or on the old thread (Here), and these will be put in a seperate webpage, to showcase the best of AOE3H. And you can ask for a screenie to be replaced at any time.

If I confused you, just ask the questions. I'm pretty darn used to it by now...

Custer, please don't upload every single screenshot just because someone posted it.

Upload EYE CANDY. The last thread got cluttered up with shots that weren't even more unique than the official screens lol.

Only the best of the best will go on the webpage (10 ten from everyone ), and the rest will be put on here. And it won't get cluttered, because it will be archived every month.

Don't worry, we have this worked out.
