This mod makes merc work in the demo, even tougth most of them doesn't get their right animation, since the anim files doesn't exist in the demo. The info on the unit stats are taken from trougththeages.com.
At this stage ALL merc are available:
Swiss Pikemen
Highlanders
Hackapells
Hessian Jaeger
Barbary Corsair
Stradiot
Mameluke
Manchu horse archer
Ronin
Privateer
The mod is now finished.
Tell me if you find any bugs or something like that in the file.
UPDATE on 11/5: The file does not any longer include backup
They are exactly the same as the mercs in every way except that they don't look the same as the ones in the game. The only diff is the look.

What did you change in the xml? Can I somehow intergrate that into RF_gandalf's RM map stuff?

Well, you will have to change the files a little bit by yourself to make them both work, but it's nothing big. Just add this the bottom of the stringtable.xml, just before < /Language >< /Stringtable >, otherwise Highlanders wont work:
< String _locID ='24825' >Highlanders< /String >
< String _locID ='26179' >INF Highlanders< /String >
And remember to take away the spaces in those two lines. I just had to add them to make it show up here at all.

Are Mercenaries cards at the Home City that I need to buy and then use in games? Which civs get which mercs?
How do I increase the Home City level above level 10, so I can actually use the cards?
