This is me attempting a BB rush against a much higher ranked player. He beat back my rush and then won by his superior economy.

Matchup:

anterior2 (me) (private level 4, blue, Iroquois)

vs

nsyiek135 (sergeant level 14, purple, Germans)

1) don't take fights you cannot win
2) retreat when a fight turns bad
3) look for the settlers when attacking
4) herd... at 13:00 all your food settlers could have been right next to your town center instead of out in the open and dead

Thanks for the advice, although the real reason I lost was because he simply beat my rush and got himself a superior eco. Not much I could do about that.

Yeah, I had already lost it before he raided me, he shipped crossbows and uhlans too fast. I will try retreating in future though.
