Version: The Conquerors 1.0c
Searching and editing of game texts is much easier now when you have to use only one file instead of three files.

Works for both Age of Kings and The Conquerors all patches.

Old language files...
language.dll 488 kB
language_x1.dll 332 kB
language_x1_p1.dll 44 kB

...compared to new ones.
language.dll 700 kB
language_x1.dll 32 kB
language_x1_p1.dll 32 kB

After replacing old language files with these, edit only language.dll file, not others.

I am not sure whose work this is, but it's not mine (except adding those two files for compatibility).

My other uploads.

This look very useful, I am just supposed to delete the old files and add the new ones in instead?

I advise you copy/move the old files to somewhere else as backups before you move these new files over. But yes, your suggestion works.

In AoK HD these files become useless, since texts are no longer stored in DLL files.
