'Huns Tournament' by Leontios is a multiplayer scenario that is best experienced with 8 players, and plays as a tournament in which players are gradually whittled down until only two remain in a knockout build-and-destroy experience. The last two players remaining will advance to the final round and battle it out for first place.

PLAYABILITY: With what is actually a rather simple idea, 'Huns Tournament' is unique in its experience and very enjoyable. The progressive arch of the game ensures players are always kept on their feet and there's a new challenge with every level as you're pitted against different opponents. As one player is defeated you must quickly prepare for the next, with limitations to what you can build but not in what age you can progress to. I do however wonder about the author's decision to disable castles, watch towers and stone walls, even though there is a fair amount of stone mine placed on the map, and seemingly more than gold itself which is far more important especially in the context of the game. 3.0

BALANCE: The map is well laid out in the style of a pyramid-type hierarchy, which broadens and demands more of the player as the map opens up. Each player starts with equal resources and access to land, but along the way will need to fight for valuable resources in order to survive. 5.0

CREATIVITY: The idea I believe is unique to the multiplayer experience and offers loads of fun in what is actually a very simple yet well thought out idea. 3.0-

MAP DESIGN: The layout of the map is well structured and suits the context of the game well, however the design itself is very plain and uninspired with blocks of forest, scattered clumps of resources and water shallow used for the ocean. While the overall design suits the planning of the game fine, a good map design can actually go a long way into immersing the player in the setting and creating a good experience. 2.0+

STORY/INSTRUCTIONS: There is not much else beyond the required instructions but nothing more is really needed. 3.0

CONCLUSION: This is a creative take on a multiplayer scenario and offers players a different online experience that is actually quite fun and interesting with every game.

In a sentence - Well planned and set out, 'Huns Tournament' offers a unique if not basic online experience.

In closing - Worth the download.
