The theme is very nice. Quite different than what I've seen or have been accustomed to playing.

Visual Appeal: 4
The visual appeal is nice but it could use some more terrain mixing. It's nice enough where it's not just one terrain, but it would be nice to see a little more diverse terrain. Being a RMS and not an actual scenario the terrain isn't too bad.

Playability: 4
Players start out on a small island in the middle of a lake; the lake is surrounded by land. You start out with the usual 3 villagers and a town center, but instead of the normal amount of resources you start out with very little. Starting out with limited resources forces the player too expand as soon as possible. Once you make it out of the lake, there is more resources for you to build an army. A strong Navy is imperative if you want to do well on this map, any lack thereof could cost you. This map would be very challenging for any new player, but anyone with at least some experience playing RM should be able to handle himself/herself.

Additional Comments:[EMM] The Promised Land ver 1.2.1 is a very well designed RMS., and worth the download for any RM player.
