Novel buildings and building sets are always exciting for a game in which construction is a central part of the gameplay. The importance of such projects rises if the detail is high and if, like in this case particularly, the texture fits 1:1 with the one used in the original game. Allowing for integration in projects which goal it is to create the feeling of official expansions.

Quality/Instructions: 5

The level of detail is amazing. Beyond that the color scheme is unique, all the while the texture is the same as the original game graphics. Together this is the recipe used by Ensemble Studio's already for creating Wonders, highly unique buildings, but as yet in line with the graphic style. Overall extremely useful for ambitious projects seeking out to create the flair of official expansions by introducing innovation of content without innovation of style. Great stuff!

Additional Comments:

Nothing to add, go and play with this!
herzl2 How can I put this into the game or at least in the editor?

This new building by Pepp is a realistic and historically accurate recreation of the Bamberg Cathedral

Usefulness/Novelty: 4
There are many wonders and cathedrals to chose from in the blacksmith to add to your game, so what makes this one any different? For a start it's a historical recreation of a real life building, and a very accurate one at that. This is not a building that has been made before so it's totally unique to the game, and it also fits in well with the time period and location that the game is set in. Just like the real building upon which it is based, this graphic is massive, which is both a strength and weakness to this design. The building is incredibly detailed yet far too big to really be useful in the game. It would require significant data editing in order to adjust its radius size so units don't walk over it and it also fills up most of the screen so you can't see much else. It's also far too tall so when units are behind it the top is cropped off by the game engine making it look ugly.

Quality/Instructions: 4.5
The quality of the building is exceptional. Designed using traditional copy-and-paste techniques and utilising parts from other modded buildings such as textures from Age of Chivalry means that this building not only blend perfectly into the game but also feels completely unique in its design. The building is highly detailed and also very realistic creating a fantastic new edition to the editor, especially for historical scenarios set in Medieval France.

Additional Comments:
Overall this is an exceptionally designed building that is limited in its use due to enormous size.

Thanks
Possidon
Lemon123 I will add that in order to have ingame you need to rename file to 3544 and copy paste to
Age of Empires II HD\resources\_common\drs\graphics

Also one more minus is missing shadow.
