Four in one mod
After a long time this idea been in the back of my head, I put in 2 hours and finished this mod. It changes several units into their 4-in-1 variant, as shown above.
Units changed: archer, skirmisher, swordsman, spearman lines. Unique units and cavalry are not changed.
Bear in mind that the units only look 4 times as big, but have the same stats. To make it more accurate they should have 4 times HP, 4 times attk, cost 4 times more, etc. but this I leave to the downloader. ( It can be easily done with Genied2 )
I would like to thank peterbrooks whose half scale mod I got the idea from and Ykkrosh for Genied1.
This may be updated depending on response.
To install, unzip and place empires2_x1_p1.dat in your data directory. Remember to back up your original data file. If you have unpatched version then rename to empires2_x1.dat

I know that you probably never heard of this game but this is a lot like how the infantry work in rise of nations. I like this mod it's pretty cool. Good Job!

As a matter of fact I do know that, although RoN units behave independantly and these are just a single unit with four graphics. |

No, as I said earlier there are no stats change. So pikemen still have 55 HP 4 attack etc.
If you want to know how this is done, download New Units and ideas showcase by myself in the utilities section. I explain this and many more 'tricks'. |

Brilliant Mod, Very useful for great battle scenes. This was perfectly designed, The graphics were well alligned and extra projectiles were added for a more realistic effect. The mod is very good, You should really upgrade the health and attack of the units now that you've got more of them and you should also do this to more units, Like the Woad Raider and some other units.
Additional Comments:
Keep on creating mods like this, They are very good and deserve high ratings, I'm suprised stuff like this hasn't been made in the past.

WELLST, be surprised that it has been done in the past. Some research before writing a review would help to value the Novelty/Creativity factor of this Mod Pack.

Due to modifying with Genied3, this mod has the population bug in it ( dying units don't decrease pop ). I discovered it only recently. Will be updated later. |

I don't really play games anymore/Was kindof just reminiscing.
I know this is a dead topic, but...
I am greatly impressed with what you can achieve in 2 hours, it took me days and days to achieve what I did.
Haven't tested your mod as I am on Linux, but it looks like your isometric scale is a bit out of wack.
I'd love for you to use your great talent to complete the mod that I started. |
