Well, fellows, double o five was a big year for HG. To those bastards who don't follow Scenario Design and Modding, there were leaps and bounds thanks to two very intelligent forumers - Oliver and scenario_t_c, whom I respect to the utmost. And I'm also very jealous. *plots* With 2005 came the release of Age of Empires III. With all the fear that came with a new heaven, it died down quickly, and take a look at us! After weathering the release of so many other heavens, we were almost unaffected in entirety! Our community is a close-knit and very solid one. That is one of the most attractive thing about this place, this wonderful place, this beautiful place... Goddamnit, no more spacecake for me. This year, I've been delving into a lurker-style status. As much as I love this place, other things always decide to manhandle me in my private area, causing me to scream like a little girl, or just stand up to all the tasks. Sure, many of the forumers here find me rather annoying, but I'm okay with that. In the end, I don't expect to be here, I will have grown tired of it, but both you and I know who we can wager to still be around. Most people here know the love I refer to, pathetic as it sounds, and I can safely say, the majority of the folks here at AoKH love the place. I want to be here when HeavenGames is finally shut down. I want to be part of the faction that will rebuild it. This is a place never to be forgotten in my life. I want to be with the AoKH forumers, talking about the "good 'ol days" and "that bastard Aro". Unfortunately, I can't call all of them friends, personally. Your bills are in the mail. So now, kevo' is threatening me with a whip, telling me to talk about '06. Azn abuse? You fascist PIG! I'm not really sure what to think. We've weathered a lot this year, and I expect that in the future, we WILL die down. We may even go to the extent of becoming like AoEH. But is that really a bad thing? I will hate to someday see great forumers go, the people I have bonded with depart. In the end, you know someday this will end. But we will not go down without a fight! We are the Splash Splashers of a day long gone! Comrades, do you hear? We are Age of Kings Heaven! Viva La AoKH! Viva La Aro! Nonetheless, our little bit of community will soon be able to do so much more with our little worlds - this is a very exciting time. In the past we have gone far, and broken the bonds given us. This is fsking kickass.
