Hi, i dont know if this is the right part of the forum to post this is but oh well. Ive been trying to play AOE II TC on zone.com but i seem to be having some trouble. When ive clicked to play on AOE and then have signed in and all it takes me to this page saying that its going to install the latest AOE updates.

This is fine untill it gets to 100% and then it will come up with this error message, this is what the whole pop up says:

"Internet Explorer - Security Warning

Windows has found a problem with this file

Name: heartbeat.cab

Publisher: Unknown Publisher

This file was blocked because it did not have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher."

Ive got the latest version of Direct X because i thought that was the problem and ive also completely unistalled and then reinstalled AOE. I had the problem ages ago but i think i gave up. I have also tried the help with the error message but that is useless.

you must change your security settings to allow heartbeat to be installed...

Thanks for your reply, how do i do that? I went on:

Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level

and then fiddled around with the ActiveX controls but no hope.

Any ideas what to do or what im doing wrong?

these are the settings on my computer>
Download signed ActiveX controls:Prompt
Download unsigned ActiveX controls:Prompt
Initialise and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe:Prompt
Run ActiveX controls and Plug-ins:Enable
Script ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting:Enable
Scripting Section:all options Enabled.

if you dont have admin rights on your computer then you will not be able to change your internet explorer settings.

arghh this is really annoying. I am admin, i changed my settings to the same as yours but i still get the error message. Dam you heartbeat.cab...................

logon to zone. then go http://classic.zone.msn.com/zzzz/sysophelpmain.asp

and explain your problem too one of the zone admins, just click to accept the terms and conditions at the bottom of that page and it'll take you there.

OMG it says that i have to install software to talk to them, so okay ill install it, i have to allow activeX to install it so i let it and geuss what comes up.... heartbeat.cab.

I have been getting this message -Connection from the Zone has been terminated - since i changed my internet connection for Rogers High Speed to Bell Symaptico High Speed, i get terminated from room in a few minutes after entering. I have tried playing with my firewall and other stuff off but it still doesnt work and i cant host games either, noone gets in, does anyone no wht this is happening and how to fix this. I have even tried creating a new account.

That was my original thought but no. Im just going to give up and accept im never going to play AOE online!
