Could you tell me the difference. Using this, you have way less of a trigger count.

If you use the stop unit effect and the standard AI the player can still build things and attack as it want to. So you have to make the trigger loop, but that could make it bugy if it's constantly stoping units all over the map.

The immobile units AI is much easier to use. You just select it and the unts stand still and attack if they see an enemy.

The number of triggers in a scenario are not important.

Quality is better than quantity.

Anyway, Immobile Units AI is the better, safer, and less buggy alternative.

Immobile gold is my first choice , and agree with Darkmaster . Game stability can be compramised by triggers ,and AI's also cuts down the amount of playtesting , as you can depend on them.

Trust me I know first hand (I had a mac; not allowed to us AI's on macs) it never worked fully and then u had to disable it if u wanted to be attacked and then one of the units would always go off exploring
