Well, I said it because I wasn't sure if the cd for the "original" version would work for the beta! Therefore I asked for a nocd crack! And btw I know it's against the code of conduct.

You've got to replace the EmpiresII.exe and the language.dll from the savefile download (the third download), with the EmpiresII.exe and language.dll that are already present in the folder (the first download).

I did that, but should I replace the exe. and dll. files from the original game or is the downloaded a fullworthy game itself?? Btw, I know I'm quite a noob!

Not for the original game! The Beta!

Download the beta as described above (part 1, part 2 and part 3). Unzip them all. Part 2 holds the 'Data' folder, put that one in the unzipped Part 1 folder. Now replace the EmpiresII.exe and the language.dll from part 3 with the ones present in the part 1 folder. Click on the EmpiresII.exe and the Beta version of AoK starts.

I hope this helps, if not ask again.

I have done it exactly that way, but when I start it up I get the usual windows error. Age of Empires II has encountered a problem, and needs to be shut down. And you choose wether or not to send in a report!

Are you sure that you have installed all files?!
And: If I was smart, never send that report, because you can be tracked down, if miscrosoft detects, that the game isn't orriginal, I even don't know, if they do something about such little form of piracy.

Try in your next message to write down all texts that was showed by this problem.

Nice, but you really can't compare the full version of AoK's graphics with the alpha's. One is more cartoon-ish, one is more real.

Maybe, did I forget it, but the beta comes from Shadowflare of Course, and the NO-CD patched .exe from me.
