I was just wondering what everybody likes in an AoK/TC scenario.
I enjoy the map design and missions. Especially the escorting ones.

So? What do the resta' ya like?

I like huge maps, fantasy RPG's, and good storylines.

I prefer B&D with good history and custom AI scripts, like the ES campaigns for example.

I'm not so sure what I love, but RPG's are great as long as they have a personal touch. BUT, I absoultly HATE those stupid scenarios where you start off with a TC and 3 villagers on a dead plain map and you have to kill this evil king because he burned your town/ killed your family/ etc (Circle where applicable). Anyone else? (I hope I'm not alone...)

I like Scenarios :

- With good Eye-Candies
- RPS style
- Fantasy (not real-time history)
- With good storyline

And I hate :

- With just blank Grass1 terrain and putting down some trees, buildings and units and not much Eye-Candy
- B&D style

Variety will appeal to most people. Some fixed force, some RPG, some B&D, maybe a short cinematic sequence or two... scenarios that change their style during the game, e.g. games that begin with a fixed force and turn into a build and destroy game. Mark Stoker's "Regicide" scenario in his Tamerlane campaign is an excellent example of a scenario where different styles blend into each other.

Thanks. This will really help me when I'm creating my next scenario. Oh, and Ingo. I just downloaded The Kings Best Men. INCREDIBLE. I guess variety appeals to me too!

I like RPG's too, especially The Last Samurai and the Swallowed Realms series, although I'm partial to a bit of mix as well.

I like... urr... RPG's!!! I'm absolutely a RPG fan! The Last Samurai I and II and the SR series are awesome! cuz they are RPG's! and RPS are nice.

I hated Build and Destroy and the Fixed Force * too laggy *

RPG's ARE THE BEST!!!

- "Nobody dies a virgin; life screws us all."
- "you can't clap without both hands."
- "The sun is not yellow, it's chicken."
- "Yes, they may indeed be idiots, but we are surrounded by idiots anyway; variations can be amusing."
- "Warm and fuzzy, kinda like a burning kitten."
- "We had gay burglars the other night. They broke in and rearranged the furniture."

In Order
1 Mixs (I really Like Something Mixing with B&D)
2 RPS
3 Puzzle (This is an old type from AOE which people here seem to negelect)
4 RPG
5 B&D
6 FF
And That's that

In Mixs, You d,ont have to say start the game off as an FF and then B&D, You Can Actually Do It the other Around (BE CREATIVE AND THINK HOW).

Puzzles are Negelected, What I mean are that most designers ingore them since it's an old AOE Type Game, Not for AOK, But the Best Designers Like Ingo and Mark Stoker Still have that element.

I rest my case.

I prefer anything but scenarios that are like "Destroy enemy 1, then destroy enemy 2. Once you do that, destroy enemy 3 and you win".

Professional scenarios with well laid out cities, good eye candy, interesting story, etc. Especially historical RPG/S scenarios.

What I hate:

Stupid, badly mad fantasy RPG's, and anything with a lack of fun or creativity. *Although there are some good fantasy RPG'S*
