We all love AoC. Why else would we be here? Why else would you be reading this thread?
With the seemingly less projects dominating the 1st page of SD&M, whether it be your work is not far along enough to post in the "Current Projects" thread, or even to have a thread of its' own. Why not give us a snippet of what you're working on?! Campaigns, Scenarios, Mods, anything!

It could be your big project, a side project, if you're just kicking back playing an RM or MP game or your favourite Campaign.
Even just messing around in the editor or Poser? I would love to see your raw works, or what you're up to in the world of AoC. Think of it as an "Instagram" for Age of Empires.

Take a screenshot of whatever you're working on (or playing with) in the editor or modding program, and share it with the community. No editing required to get rid of the editor's menu or your cursor, no theme, no voting. Just the sharing of...
Your works of art.

Very long multiplayer match (10:53:05). Many good men lost.

What's your longest online match?

EDIT: I'm Pittman, Mash is Mashek and DaniloSrb is Byzan.

That's quite a long match! What map, mapsize and speed did you play on?

Side note: Half a year ago we had an Age of Chivalry game online with more than 2/3 of the total killed units in less than 1/3 of the time (3:30h iirc). The map was not only devoid of stone and gold/silver, but the forests ran out aswell. The last 2 decisive attacks were planned in regard to conquering one of the last remaining (half-chopped) forest. It was a 6 player game, though.

Was 300 pop. I believe I got raided at one stage so was just creating military to defend. Then once I was stable again I was able to create more villies safely.

It was Giant Black Forrest, so there was still a lot of wood left over, but all other resources had been used up. That's my longest match, but between the 3 of us we've had many other epics. (Most of which have been recorded).

Two more weird pictures involving bugs about the "relic cart" unit:

A relic teleporting itself trough the map (I still don't know why that happens)

Looks like the 'Kill Object' (or perhaps 'Damage Object'?) effect used on Relic Carts. It causes odd things like that, but is difficult to control sufficiently to have a practical use.

Yea, I used a looping trigger with
remove object
kill object
change ownership (gaia to 1)
damage object (1).
It's really hard to control, cause it only goes to the same direction (and don't stop).

@EDIT: I wouldn't say they're completely useless... Perhaps to making a chess-map, for example

Thanks, I know. There is still much work to be done.
I managed to do all that in a day and have started working on it again now.

The screenshot of the king on the balcony will be overlooking a forest fire. (I dont want to give too much of the story away though). However, I will say they will lean toward 'defend the spot' style of gameplay.

Anyway, here is a picture I made for the CSC which was late. I thought I may as well post it here. It was for the theme Pikemen 5 O'clock.

Flowerbeds! I think they are an underused object. Your scenario looks good in many pics, but I would use less grass 1 or 2 near the castle or the TC.
Edit: Also try to minimize the amount of Palisade corners/edges, they look a bit weird.

About the picture: You can submit them to the CSC after the deadline. They won't take part in the competition but will be added to the archives.

No, they aren't, it's just know when use them... For example, you shouldn't use them in non-sense places like above a road, or under a wall, etc...
OBS: I saw an overuse of grass 1 in those screenshots, you should try to put some more grass 3, dirt 1, leaves, dirt 3 etc.

Personally, I really love using flowerbeds underneath tiny patches of trees or on the edges of forests, just to spruce things up a bit!

I am a big fan of flowerbeds.

Put them under trees and at the edge of forests (like HockeySam said), under rocks, over a small pond, etc. and they can really complement a wooded area. We don't have enough random gaia objects so not using them in map design would be silly. Flowerbeds can also be rotated around.

Play my campaigns and you will see abundant use of flowerbeds.

This is a little much but what's a garden without flowers?

Or be a little more subtle and mix them in with trees, rocks, and a berry bush:

If properly placed I like flowers too otherwise it's really ugly imo. Al_Kharn the Great you placed the flowers really well.

Gaia objects such as flowerbeds, paths, stumps, craters, and piles of food (forage bushes) look best when they, like HockeySam said, are placed underneath patches of trees to make them look like overgrown forests (if you are limited to using the vanilla editor).

In my humble opinion, even putting rubbles or ruins sparingly could make your forest looks more natural, instead of letting just leaves terrain fill all the gaps between your trees. Just try to cover them with flowers so they do not look too stand-out. Watch The Little Things by Boosh or nI's Eurona's Curse for great examples of this.
