Penthesilea mounted archer
Penthesilea was one of the greatest of the Amazon warriors and a hero by Greek standards. She was a daughter of Ares and Orithia and had a huge amount of skill with weapons and battle. She was known for her wisdom. During a hunt, she accidentally killed her sister, Hippolyta II, and in her grief decided to leave her tribe and fight in the Trojan War. 11 warriors followed her to Troy and they killed many of the Greeks. Penthesilea was especially deadly because of her parentage, but she died fighting Achilles (because of his "invincibility" clause) in single combat. Achilles mourned when he ripped off her helmet and saw who he'd killed and "loved" her corpse, as it is written. When one of his comrades suggested his lust was unnatural, Achilles killed him.

I spent many hours researching 12 Trojan gods, godpowers, heroes, 9 myth units & various buildings, wonders & military units. I could've pasted much more text to justify my choices.

Well from what I hear Cerebrus is Greek Mythology, Gryphon isn't Greek or Turkish, that War Unicon thing i saw that on T.V about a year ago it was called like 'Living with Dinosaurs' or somthing where theres just alot of dinosaurs and how they relate and adapt to todays animals and environment.
your picture of hector, mounted lancer looks like its from a marvel or D.C comic book and also GP- Super Development- For 1 minute all upgrades are instant & without age barriers. come on......and thats just some of the stuff

" the wonder should represent appollo " Boni said it himself- the Trojans had Greek mythology, therefore the inclusion of cerberi etc.
Troy was in Asia Minor which wasn't Turkey until c1400 when the Ottoman Turks beat the Byzantines.

Several griffin-like creatures - beasts with the head of an eagle or some other bird of prey - occur in art, architecture and mythology of many early civilizations.

In Minoan Crete, such creatures were royal animals and guardians of throne rooms. [5]

In Ancient Egypt, a similar creature was depicted with a slender, feline body and the head of a falcon; this is tentatively identified as an axex.[6] Early statuary depicts them with wings that are horizontal and parallel along the back of the body. During the New Kingdom, depictions of griffins included hunting scenes. [citation needed] Divine figures in Egyptian mythology, depicted as such griffin-like creatures, include Sefer and Sefert. [citation needed]

Of the two sacred "birds" of Persian mythology, the homa and the simurgh, the homa is often described as griffin-like. Ancient Elamites used such a creature extensively in their architecture. During the Achaemenid Empire, homa were used widely as statues and symbols in palaces. Homa also had a special place in Persian literature as guardians of light

Arimaspus on horseback fighting a griffin. Attic red-figure pelike in the Kerch style, c.375–350 BC,

A satyr, a griffin and an Arimaspus. Detail from an Attic red-figure chalice-crater, c.375–350 BC, from Eretria
In archaic Greek art bronze cauldrons fitted with apotropaic bronze griffon heads ("protomes") with gaping beaks, prominent upstanding ears and often a finial knop on the skull appear with such regularity that they are considered a genre, the Griefenkessel, by specialists. Wiki
Karkadann
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

The Karkadann (English: Rhinoceros, Persian: كرگدن "Lord of the Desert") was a mythical unicorn-like creature said to live on the grassy plains of India, Persia and North Africa. The karkadann was an extremely ferocious beast, driving away from its territory animals as big as the elephant. It is said it would fight an elephant and kill it. It would then hoist it above its head in triumph using its horn, before going blind as the elephant's fat flowed into its eyes as it melted in the sun.

[edit] Appearance

The creature was quite similar to a rhinoceros. Upon its horn was an engraving with the head of a man.

[edit] Origin

Fossils of a very similar animal, the Elasmotherium, have been found in Eastern China and Southern Russia. Although Elasmotherium is thought to have died out in prehistoric times, the Chinese have legends of a similar creature named the zhi, and the Evenks also talked of a large bull with a single horn in the forehead. Moreover, Ibn Fadlan reported having seen a creature corresponding closely to both the Kargadan and the Elasmotherium. It is possible that Elasmotherium survived long enough to be the original source of any or all of the these traditions.

Super Development- maybe depowered to 30 seconds, or less. The upgrades were never free, standard price.

well gaddunz you proved me wrong......i know when im out done so good job...i still think that super development is way 2 strong like someone could just save resources in say classical (If they didnt get attacked) and use that gp and since theres no age restriction well u could get all the good stuff that u usually have 2 work to like omni, iron weapons, champion infantry etc...

But I like researching them, nonetheless.
Then why write all that other crap, like the classical ages, bonus and etc for a game that can't establish it.
Would your negativity deny me a hobby.
Negativity? So you did want to add this civ to AOM.
If you want to research history then do so. But don't make 3+ plus threads of the same thing which has an hour scroll down.

Can I ask? did you even read the thread?

And how does it contribute?
Is there an ES employee here saying they will make this?

IS this useful tips and helpful info help with AOM gameplay?

Face it ES, is a non wealthy and non known company.
They're just aren't capable of giving its customers what they really want.

It is researched for new civs.....with mythology references and all

No Es doesn't care anymore, but that doesn't mean a modder won't. I have seen mods with entirely new civs, so it's not impossible.

All of that aside, using Notebook would have been much more suitable. This contributes nothing, look at the title, which means 'Ignore' I can only assume.
