Throughout all of Age of Mythology's Development Cycle countless Units, Campaigns, Scenarios, History Files and Sounds were removed and or replaced, but due to left overs we can have a look at things that were removed.

How was the University found?

The University has only one sad, lonely remnant:

In this one screen shot you can see an unknown building of Greek Origin (could've been a shrine, not a house, since "Fertile Farm Plots" were used to dictate how much pop, and food you could get)

What Happened to it?
The University was canned because ES wanted to make all civilizations unique, and also Human technologies and units were made basic..

Universities in History
"The original Latin word "universitas" refers in general to "a number of persons associated into one body, a society, company, community, guild, corporation, etc." At the time of the emergence of urban town life and medieval guilds, specialised "associations of students and teachers with collective legal rights usually guaranteed by charters issued by princes, prelates, or the towns in which they were located" came to be denominated by this general term. Like other guilds, they were self-regulating and determined the qualifications of their members."

Fun Fact: The University of Bologna is the oldest university, in Italy as it was formed in 1088. Yes, the same place Bolognese Sauce, Bolony and Spahgetti Bolognese comes from.

Author's Note
Many Players returning from AoK missed the University/or a similar building.

Improvement Mod re-adds the University along with a bunch of new techs ripe for the researching.
