There, now for the first test.
Test 1: 1 Mummy vs. 3 hopolites.
The mummy won. Big surprise there, with it's special, it killed one enemy and got a free myth unit to boot before the hopolites even got to it. The mummy won in 20 sec. and had 306 hp. left.
Test 2: 1 Mummy vs. 3 Toxtotes.
Mummy won in 12 sec. with 288 hp left. This is sort of odd. The Pierce armor is alot more than the hack armor, so it would seem like this unit is ideal for archers, but I guess not.
Test 3: 1 mummy vs. 3 Hippikons
Mummy wins in 29 sec. It took no damage because they all attacked the minion.
Test 4: 4 Mummies vs. 8 Collosuss
Mummies won in 35 sec. All mummies survived. 3 had 200 hp. left, 1 had 170 hp. left.
To show how the mummy trumps other "instant kill" units, I compared the Lampades and Medusa on the same test.
Test 5: 4 Lampades vs. 8 Collosuss
All Lamades dead in 89 seconds. All non-chaosed Collosuss dead too.
Test 6: 4 Medusa vs. 8 Collosuss
2 Medusa survive, 1 has 172 hp left, another has 79 hp. left. Medusas won in 49 sec.
Although the medusa fared better than the Lampades, look at the cost. Lampades and Medusa cost 250 gold and 25 favor. The mummy, which performed better, costs only 200 gold and 25 favor. That's 50 gold less for a better unit. Sounds like a good deal to me.
I also have guides for the Wadjet, Anubite, and Psteuchos, but I haven't posted them yet. What unit do u want me to do a guide on next? Just post your comments and vote and After a while, I'll get around to it vs. Egyptians They are tougher to use the Mummy against. Most of their units aren't very expensive, so the turning of one into a minion isn't as devestating as the Greeks. Also be careful of their ranged priests, as they can be quite powerful, especially if you get the right techs. vs. Atlanteans. It depends. With no distinct hero class, it really depends on the kind of heroes they use. f they use fanatics or Murmillo's, you're ok. But if they used the ranged Arcus's or turmas, you are in trouble. They have a couple of expensive units, like the Benemoth or Heka-Gigantes that are just crying out to be turned into minions. vs. Greeks. The Greeks are pretty good to use this against. They have very pricey units, so turning that Collosuss or nemean lion into a minion will make you shout for joy. Their heroes, however, are another matter. Especially if they have Oddeysouss or Bellpheron, your mummies can be killed pretty quickly, so once again, meatshield. [This message has been edited by Darth Persia (edited 03-14-2004 @ 12:48 PM).]
vs. Norse This is a good unit to use against the Norse. Their lack (Only throwing axemen if I'm not mistaken) of ranged units (Especially heroes) makes this a good unit to use against them, although you should have a meatshield like Chariot archers or slingers to protect it from those pesky Hersirs
