Not really. From the many threads of this type that I saw my impression is that all of the people that experience this problem have an ESO-incompatible version. In other words, it is not really solvable. Nonetheless even that is an answer, and more helpful than no info whatsoever, so it is good that it can now be found in the FAQ.
Versions that are ESO-incompatible appear to be mainly ultra-low-budget versions that come with a computer magazine or something, without proper package and with a manual only as PDF on the CD. You could point out that at least for this people there is definitely no solution. Otherwise I feel that these guys will keep posting:
"I tried to reinstall like the FAQ says, but it did not help, so what else can I do?" Making the bitter truth clear up front might help here.
