Topic Subject: OK, what seems to be an essentially working version of my anim editor

There, just unzip the stuff anywhere. You don't need any files to be in C:\ or anything like that. Just extract all the files somewhere and open up the exe. I've tested it and it seems to work. It also contains an anim editing guide for those who want to learn how, its lots of fun.

Sorry to keep making new posts but they are sinking like quicksand and people dont read topped posts. This will be my last I promise

Well thats a stupid question ;P

No they don't, but if you make an animation text files you'll need to include them in the zip, and any other files that you change or mod
BTW, i've taken interest in this program... If i can i might make a mod, take the raft thing(with the monkey) and put a tent instead of a monkey on it, and look at it go, it's a raft with a tent on it!
It'd be sweet. Unfortunatly i don't know how i'd do that so that'll just have to wait.

That would be cool, but until someone figures out unit scale the tent would be way too big

Like Cheezy said, they will see normal units and you will see ur units unless you include the txt file in ur zip or whatever.

your program meesed up on my cpu, i cant see the bottom
where apparently it says particles(the mummies flies, sparks thatngie)could u explain that to mee?
    posted 10 January 2003 11:15 AM EDT (US)     13 / 25
Are you using 800 x 600 resolution? That could be why it's so short.

Those bottom left dropdowns let you insert the statements for certain models. Like the mummy flies are the model for the flies that surround the mummy. You can insert mummy flies to another unit (like the mountain giant, you can tell he doesn't bathe) by:

    1. Opening the mountain giant
    2. Clicking Add in the middle left
    3. Typing "flies" (without quotes) in the box that pops up
    4. Double clicking "define flies" (no quotes) in the middle left box
    5. Put your cursor on the empty line in the middle, then click on that dropdown with the particles and find mummy flies. Then hit go.
    6. In the insert connection box, in the first menu find "flies" and in the second find FRONTABDOMEN. Then hit "Insert to All Anims".

calol me an idiot, call me moron, tell me i have a mental disorder, but can someone who knows how to get the unit to show up( im referring to the info next to the"ChooseAnimFile" ) i cant figure that out!!!!!!!!,

    and

when ever i press "insert to all anims" it say" runtime Error'52'bad file name or number" and shuts off automatically.(not the cpu, the program). that is my problem.

Sorry if it was unclear, you're supposed to click Choose Anim File. I need to make it look more like a button.

When I try to install I get an error saying some system files are outdated. The installer gives the option to update my system files. Which files does it update, or which program? I have Windows XP, and I think my DirectX version is 8.1.
I thought it requires Directx 9, but I rather want your answer first in case it would be possible to damage system files.

This isn't direct X, it's a file called COMDLG32.OCX. It seems like half the people have the new version, half the people don't. Say yes, I really doubt it can damage any system files.

    Thanks

But actually it didn't work. As soon as I said it's ok to update the system file I was asked if my pc could reboot. After rebooting nothing was installed, so I tried installing again, and again I got the outdated system file message.
Anyway, I just extracter the stuff in the .cab file using winrar, and everything worked out well.
    Nice utility

The King of Cheese, include all library files in your program if possible! It will increase the file size enormously (about 2MB), but then it will work correct. If you use VB7 it should also work til down to Win95B!

A Long time since any ES employee posted anything here.

Can't we have any insight on any work on the editor going on?
