What are some little things you've figured out about the editor, through trial and error? We need a list of stuff like that.


  • If you go to "Place Wall" and right click, you will be out of all game menus. Now you can rotate the map.
  • The modifier (eg ">", "=") in "Units in Area" applies to the number of units, not the radius
  • Often times, you need to select and object (as in "Select Object) twice to get the condition to function
  • If a cinematic contains an illegal character, the triggers in your scenario will not fire.

With all due respect Death, those aren't "tricks" so much as things to watch out for. The exception would be the first one, which I don't quite understand.

It's an expression. I meant little things that the community should be aware of.

-In order to get out of all menus there is the escape button you know .But i found that the middle mouse button works the same way.
-We all know that when choose sound filenames in the "music/sound filename" triggers and you double click them or press the open button,there files sometimes can just not be written in the trigger's letter box.But if you try it 3-7 times it will probably work.Patience is the key.
