^Great work

Question: When your site opens? I sometimes visit it but it's always under construction.

How do you make menu backgrounds?
posted 29 December 2003 10:12 PM EDT (US)     11 / 29
you just get an normal scenario file set up the cammera view you want ( using the camera track trigger) and fill it with eyecandy and make some events happen.

then just save the scenario as what ever you wan't ie my menu then save another copy as ~aom_pgs_atlantis.scx

then when you go to the menu the menu you made should appear like in the screen shots ( only if graphics are set to high). there are also menu mannegers around so you can have more then one menu. if you want to delete the menu just delete the ~aom_pgs_at... .scx file and you will get the original menu back because it is stored in the scenarios2.bar file snd will not be overriden.

This time the logo was made by Arnitald, who has far succeded my skills now... (I still made the frame and logo on the pics though )

Heh I just picked 3 random menus to put in preview screens
And I must say they're all excellent GJ team

spbogie there is another way to have multiple menus, you can open user.cfg in the startup folder using notepad and add these lines:
attractMode-scenario-0 [insert scen name here (without adding extension)]
attractMode-scenario-1
attractMode-scenario-2
attractMode-scenario-3
attractMode-scenario-4
attractMode-scenario-5
attractMode-scenario-6
attractMode-scenario-7
-attractMode-scenario-8
-attractMode-scenario-9

Yes and No. It depends on how fast your computer is. If ur comp's slow, it sure would lag alot.

and the menu pack's looking good

posted 01 January 2004 00:49 AM EDT (US)     24 / 29
it probably wont lag much but it might in certain events due to alot of effects going off at the same time there might be a actual like freeze of the game in one menu for like 4 secs

it won't lag if you don't have the resolution too high for your computer specs. So being realistic about the resolution you set will insure less lag ( if any ).
