Topic Subject: Displaying QVs in chat message or fake counter.

I've been looking all over the scen desing forum but I didn't find anything that answered my question:

How do I display a quest var in a chat message or a fake counter?

In villi's Kill Counter guide he uses the following code in a fake counter:

Player 1's kills: "+trquestvarget("name of quest var")"

Which should display something like "Archaeopterix's kills: 54"

Unfortunately, the " in the code cause a trigger block, but without them it doesn't work either. I also tried putting \ in front of every ", but now it simply displayed the code in the counter instead of the quest var it's supposed to represent. So... Anyone?

Ah, solved! Talked to villi, and there was simply a spelling error in his guide

It's:

"+trQuestVarGet("QV1")+"

And next to that, the code is case sensitive.

Just use my QV Message or QV Fake Counter effect. Much easier.

A condition is not a trigger.
An effect is not a trigger.
A trigger is a combination of one or more conditions and effects.
It causes effects to happen if and when conditions are met.
Period.
