If you have a good idea, but it dosent fit with your current scenario or it is too complicated, or even if you just dont feel like it, post it here, im sure it will help some people.Maybe this will clear away some of the 'Give me an idea for a scenario' threads.Oh, and if you use the idea, you must say somewhere who came up with the original idea.

Disclaimer : Any ideas posted here must be for the whole community. Please do not post if
A : You will not let anyone use the idea
B : Someone is already using the idea

Now thats out of the way, ideas!

Zulu
You would have to use a mod for the brits, but could use a mercenary for Zulus (with a Modify Protounit for lifespan - 999999999). A game where there is a little ccamp in the middle of the mao and cliffs and hills around the outside - Zulu spawnpoints. A plain in the middle and the brits would defend from the camp. They would have to wait 15/20/30 minutes until reinforcments arrived. There would be a tower at the spawnpoints. If that tower was destroyed units wouldnt spawn ther. If all 4 towers were destroyed the Zulus would lose.

The Hammer Of Hapheastus
Almanias was a young boy, unaware of his future. His sister Renetias had been captured by Hades. Only the hammer of hapheastus would bring her back. Almanias made a deal - The Hammer for his sister...
You would play as Almanias on a journey to Mt.Olympus to get The Hammer(a relic). After that you would return to hades and give him it. He would free your sister and then, using a trigger, she would turn from a female greek villy into a warrior of some sort. Hades would release the Titans with the hammer and attack Olympus. All was going well until Almanias and Renetias showed up.

Rivalry Of Heroes

Ok, this is what i think would be a cool idea:
Have 5 players all neutral to each other, and have a big City on an island.
Have about 31(?)'quests' dotted around the town and then the 'heroes' would have
to complete the 'quests' and the player with the most points after all of them have been completed would win.
Once a task had been completed, the quest is eliminated from the game. Any players currently on that quest would be notified it has been completed already, and would
have to find another quest.

Points System & Difficulty Rating
The longer and harder the quest, the more points you earn.

The Players
It would be good to lets the players choose their own unit in this, and the units would be in a square of land far out to sea.
There would be 3 sections:
Heroes - Would probably not have any ModProto
Myth - Would probably have a ModProto for bonus damage vs. Heroes
Men - Would probably have a Mod Proto in most stats
The players would each have an old man and would choose their unit. After that, no-one would be able to choose that unit again.
What I think would be a good selection of units is:

(Heroes section)
Chiron
Reginleif
Arkantos
Hero Of Ragnorok(Female)

(Myth Section)
Centaur
Lampades(?)
Sphinx
Minotaur(?)

(Men Section)
Arcus
Axeman
Toxotes(?)
Hoplite(?)

The Quests
There would have to be quite a few quests, with a good amount of differences between them. It
would be quite boring just having 'Kill the robber!' - 'Kill the Dryad in the forest!' - 'Kill the evil guy down at the harbour!'
- 'Kill xLpx!'

I think there should be 5 different types of quest:

Rescue
Assasination
Odd Job
Search
Good/Bad Deed

I think that the good and bad deed quests would make a cool scenario.

Competion
The players would not be allowed to attack the other people, as it would be unfair to attack the other people when you are 'Heroes'

Guards
There could be a guard patrolling the city, and bad deeds could make you an enemy to them. The
consequences could be severe - even fatal.

THE REBELLION OF CRIPOS

The island city of Cripos began a new day. As the slits of sunlight poked through the townsfolks windows, they awoke and head out to their jobs.

But one townsmember did not arise from his bed. That person was the King.

After the guards became aware of the situation, the entire population dashed to the royal manor to see what was going on. They found the king stabbed and dead, with a note by his bed:

Dear Citizens of Cripos,

"It is my solemn duty to inform you that your beloved king has been killed by me, a great assassin. I regret to inform you a rebellion has started in Cripos. Twenty people are in the rebellion, and want to overthrow the regional king to rule 1/4 of Greece. They apparently want to lower taxes and of course rule over a large population. But as to tell you, I'm here to help you. They're forcing me to do this... oh mercy... sorry, they're coming, so I'll have to cut short. May you find a new king that will be good for you.

Regards,
The Assassin

The citezens all looked at each other in worry. It would be a likely bloody rebellion. It had to be stopped.

Then came a small voice from the back of the crowd. It was Kophos, the soldier who had been training at the military academy. He agreed to try to find the rebellionists before they enslaved the residents.

And so you control Kophos on an RPG adventure. From there, I'll leave the plotline up to whoever is making the scenario. Good luck!

~~Explorer~~

This scenario is called explorer. On the RPG, your goal is, as an explorer, to explore the map. You have a ship, and as the crew you have:
1 Captian (He dies=you lose)
14 generic crewmembers
5 gentlemen

With the crewmembers, they can explore, hunt (villies), or repair the ship. They must hunt or forage for food, and chop down trees for wood. Relics and other spots provide gold. Each night, for each villie/gentleman you have, you lose 1 food (villie) or 2 food (gentleman). If you reach zero, then the number you didn't have room to subtract dies. Captian always takes one. If it's night and you're at zero, you die.

Along the way, you have to fight both normal (huntables) and Legendary (MUs) beasts. Kill lots of Legendary beasts, and you get popular to the natives.

The natives are the group of people that live on these islands (using mercs). You can do the following at their camps:

Buy or Sell Resources
Ask for Gifts (More legendary beast kills = higher gift)
Buy a new boat
Buy unfattened herdables

The Ship Leave Concept: When you leave the ship, you shouldn't have LOS of it, should you? Well, in the Explorer scenario, when you abandon your ship (nobody inside), then it turns into a neutral. That way, you have to *gasp* remember where you left it. And if you do remember, you may come back to find nothing! (if it's destroyed, see below)

The Kawajulu Tribe: Not all natives are friendly. The Kawajulu tribe hates all foriegners. They will sail around the ocean and patrol the islands. If they see you, they will attack. They also hate the friendly natives (the ones where you can visit their camps to do stuff) and will try to destroy their camps. You'll have to help defend friendly native camps if you want their services!

Sleep: Favor represents sleep. It slowly counts down during the day. At night, it begins to reach zero. You need to find a place to sleep before then! You'll have to build a shelter (house), which also uses the radical ___ Leave Concept.

TRAIN THE CREW

You always need to have some normal crewmembers around, but for some gold, you can (via chat) change the role of your gentlemen and crewmembers. Once they are specialized, though, you can't change them again. Here's what you can make them:

GENTLEMEN SPECIALTIES:

Mapper: Every night, all blackmap is reset (AKA you forget your surroundings) unless you have a mapper!
Negotiater: Decreases service prices of natives
Lookout: Increses ship LOS
Rower: Increases ship speed
Pirate: Allows you to get plunder from enemy ships!

CREWMEMBER SPECIALTIES

None. Instead, you can train them in certian feilds:

Building: Training in this field decreases the time it takes to make a shelter
Hunting: Gathers food faster
Lumberworking: Gathers wood faster
Paranoia: Sleep takes longer to reach 0
Speed: Ups speed
Hardyness: Ups max HP
Repair: Repairs ship faster

Or, you can change them to a troop, to fend off natives on ground. Troop list:

Spearman: Needs 10 wood 5 gold
Archer: Needs 50 wood 15 gold
Axeman: Needs 5 wood, 100 gold
Slinger: Needs no wood, 75 gold

Civil War of Atlantis

B.C (or B.C.E. for scientific or atheist people) 7000. Island of Atlantis.

For a century the war raged on. What began as a protest for the rights of the automata, escalades into a full scale civil war. Rebels oppose to the Automata slavery united and started a revolution against the Theocrat and the High Priest ruling class. The Golden Age of Atlantis quickly ended, and with the ending, brought death and chaos to the land.

Neither side could win. The loyal Destroyers and the Elite Cavalries of the Theocrat were able to stop massaive Murmillo and Fanatic charges. The state's control over Atlantis mighty fleet also helped them against the rebels. However, the rebels have the help of legions of Automata, which enable them to capture 5 of the nine gleaming Palaces surrounding Atlantis.

The Theocrat controls East and South Atlantis, as well as small islands lying off it. However, the North and the West is under Rebel control. The Orichalko-rich interior often exchange hands between the forces.

Most of Atlantis' colonies have either been overran by barbarian forces, or taken by pirates. Others have revolted and becamse independant. Only a few stayed loyal. Amongst them was the great colony of Lemuria, which has promised to assist the Theocrat in his struggles against the rebels, who has fought long and hard for the freedom of their Automata comrades.

Sides:
Theocrat - The Destroyers, Cavalry(contarius, turma), siege weapon corps.

Rebels - Fanatics (cultist that hates the priest class), Murmillo (rivlas with destoryers).

Other corps are splitted.

Players: Theocrat (Capital Region - East)
South Atlantis
Lemuria
Small Islands + Fleet

Players: West Atlantis
North Atlantis
Automata Legions
Central Atlantis

The Reign of the Sky

RPG, Set on a large, rocky island called Valada's Spire. It is mostly cliffs and outcrops. The only flat lands on the islands are plateaus, and transprotation was only possible via giant eagles.

Story: A young man has a dream. He dreamt of being a great defender of the skies, protecting the people from harm. Yet he also dreams of being a Sky Pirate, robbing and slaughtering innocents. For this, he decided to go on an adventure..... (Someone make the story to have more plot)

To achieve his dreams, he needed a great flying beast. To own one, he must get gold. To get gold, he must do deeds...

Game Concept: Player starts outside his home on one of the Island's 50(How many is the maker's choice) Plateus. He would need to do task(designer's choices), and it would be open ended.

To get around once he has a eagle (stypmhalian bird), he must land near 'flatzones". Once near the flatzone, the main character could get "on" or "off".

Places: There would be villages, shops, and academies all over the maps which players could upgrade, get special abilites (for example, you get ragnarok which allows you to speed up while the GP is in effect. The effect wears off a few second later, and you have to wait a while before you can use the Gp again.). You could also hire mercenaries.

Battle System: Players get normal upgrades(add HP, add armor...etc) by using gold when they do missions. It will have a special job system, like when you meet a certain requirement (eg. enough speed, have theif's dagger to be a thief, got the knights armor, done the soldier's academy training will allow you to be a knight) would unlock a job (you can choose it at your home). The job will allow you to go to places normally in normal form you cant go, and the stats would change (a thief would have awesome walking speed but got a cut in armor as a result, simliarly, if you going for a knight, your armor would dramtically increase, thou severeing you speed very much. Being an Archer will allow you to have range, in exchange for damage reduction). This also have a mana system, where old man will be "mana". mana can be restock by buying at stores, finding it off enemies, or in hidden places. mana can give you tempory HP,attack,armor...etc boost as well as GPs and summon units. The higher "magic" level you are the more magic you can choose from.

Winter's Journey

Story:
He was an exile. He was alone. He lost all respect. He lost all that was dear to him. He was accompanied by sleet and ice.......

All hope left him. Wandering through the Northern Waste, with no goal in his mind. Barely find enough food for living, he starved in the chilling lands. He forgot the sounds of spring's wind, the delicious summer rain, and the voices of children.

Yet fate did not let him fall. For his dearest, unknowingly, is looking for him, trying to embrace him, to protect him from the unforgiving cold...

This is the story of an Exile and his beloved, a bond that will remain until the times of their death...

Will he and his dearest be ever be united? Or shall they be seperated until death? The player will decide their fate...

Gameplay:
Note: "Beloved and Dearest" revers to the other character. Could be wife, parents, children, girlfriends, best frirends, comrades of the exile.
2 seperate quest on 1 map. The player will start off with the exile. While playing with the exile you will have to keep your stamina, hunger meter up and a "mind" meter up. If your stamina or hunger meter gets too low, the Exile will die. If the "mind" meter gets too low, the Exile will go crazy, making you lose as well.

Stamina Meter: Several ways to refill
-Primary A), sleep. Typing "sleep" will have him sleep right where he stands, although this would have a significant drop in "mind" meter.
-Primary B), sleep. If you can find a cave (runs the risk of wild animals), a tent from someone else(could be a kind hunter tent or a bandit's tent), or anywhere deemed conmfortable enough. The more comfortable it is, the less the "mind" meter will drop. If it is really comfortable (Someone's house, large tent), the mind meter will refill a bit.
-Secondary, items. Finding certain items will allow you to refill your stamina meter, although this is rather rare.

Hunger Meter:
-Hunt food. Primary. The more deer and caribous in an area which you go into, the higher chance of meeting wolves. A pack of wolves will be extreamly dangerous.
-Forage. Sometimes you will find berry bushes, that can fill part of your hunger meter.
-Find people's food from tent, house or even rob random passerbys.

Mind Meter: This will drop slowly, and will not pose as much thread from gameover if you play both side of the game fast. This is one of the two important ingerdience into open different endings. however, it is more difficult to refill this meter.
-Items. Finding items that reminds the Exile of his former life will increase his mind.
-Good food, comfortable sleep. Mostly the food and his sleeping areas not that good. If he can find one, his mind meter will go up slightly.

His beloved. (Could be wife, girlfriend, comrade-in-war, best friends, son, mother....etc)

More "standard" RPGing. Starts off in the warm south. Overal goal is to get to the North and find a way to get into the Northern Land to find the Exile. No stamina, hunger or mind meter because it is assume he/she brought enough money in the towns to spend it on food and tents. (although the scenario maker can choose to install one also, which could work, but the scenario will be more based on the Life of the Exile). Do multiple Quest to find a way into the North. Can take seceral approach:

-Get into the army, rise through the ranks, then get a ship and a group to search for the Exile.
-Become a merchant, trade to get gold, buy a boat, sail north to find the Exile.
-Join different guilds which can or cannot help you to get to the north. Some guilds can, others cannot, it will be in your choosing. Sometimes you done all of a guild's quest and ended up with a "sorry, we can't help you on your request".

Endings: (Scenario makers could create their own edings so this is just suggestions)

Titan vs. Cities

2 Titans to the 2 first players, 4 cities to 4 others, each the civ of their choice. The titan gate is aready there but the 30 villagers supplied need to clear the gate in order to let the titan out, which gives time for the cities to build up an army or build on their army and attempt to defend or ambush the titans. The titans' goal is to destroy certain buildings within each city, which would result in plunder or a trigger giving resources to the titan player. Once all 4 cities have been fully plundered, the titans win. This turns the tide and allows the villagers to build a city and assist in the plundering. However, if the city gains enough favor, a titan will be awarded instantly, thus once again turning the tide. If the original titans are destroyed, original cities win. Favor can be awarded with the plunder, and a certain amount of favor will award the titans players with techs+modify protounits to make your titan better.

Map should include choke points, and 4 walled cities. Also include resources around the map, in order for the cities to gather. The wealthier the city, the more plunder, but also the more troops the city should have. Also include a convertable 1st-come-first-serve anti-titan hero, or a beefed up bellerophon or something. Just crossed my mind so it wasnt exactaly developed...

The main character meets a strange looking bear (Lazer Bear) who asks "Have you seen a berry bush around here?". The main character acts confused.

Suddenly, an oversized (big as hillfort) walking berrybush breaks down a Norse stone wall. The camera shakes as soon as the wall breaks. Add a lot of people running from it and many trees on fire. Make the sky stormy and invoke a neutral Spc Lightning storm in the background. The berrybush approaches a Hillfort and attacks it. Each attack shakes the camera.

Similar to first idea, but playable and different, have a scream scenario where players are running from a 'cereal killer' (Hero of Rag would be good killer) and can go in camps and houses to evade the killer. Then, there could be multiple killers if you play on titan difficulty.

Original Idea, inspired by Scream and Gerbil30

Another idea:

You play as a wildlife park admin, and you have three units: the ranger, the reseeder, and the firefighter. The ranger must kill poachers so they don't harm wildlife, the reseeder has to reseed after forest fires (if you type reseed, the game subtracts from your food count (seeds) and invokes Gaia's Forest near your reseeder. The firefighter actually puts out the fires. For multiplay, the opposing player can be a person with a fire shiphon, and if it hits near a tree then it starts a Forest Fire. (And the opposing player would control the poachers)

Original Idea

EDIT: BTW, this should be Stickied, because you always see these "give me an idea for a scenario" and stuff. Exellent thread idea Gerbil!

well i have this idea...i suppose to be making it but i dont have enough time...(2 online browser games+stronghold+aom) so far it is at 1% (concept) its called merchants and pirates.

Merchants & Pirates

Player 1,2,3 and 4 are the merchants. They try to gain the most gold by investing in industries. For example, you could use you gold to buy a logger's hut on Island A and then you could sell the wood in a store on Island B. A more complex concept is the primary, secondary and triatary industies. An example would be purchasing a beef farm, where the cows could be lead to a factory (also have to be bought), where you could either sell the "canned" beef or could be used to supplie your restuarants, which required to have ale, beef, wood, and bread.(All have to be purchased). There's also a market where you can use your gold to buy wood or food. You can also sell excessive food and wood there. Some basic food farms would be:

Wheat Farm, Orchard, Fishing, Cows/Pigs/Goat.

You could also purchase mines to boost your income of gold. All industies require workers and labour, which you hire on a place on each of the islands.

Player 5,6,7
Pirate Concept: You start off on a cove in the corner of the map, which has its own pub, drydock..etc. Goal is to get the most gold (set a limit). To earn gold, you could try several ways:

  • Sink Merchant boats, or kill the merchant (robbing then killing)
  • Invest in black market (Arms trade, drugs and prostitution)
  • Rob banks
  • Destroy Royal Fleet's outposts (explained below)

Player 8
Royal Fleet Concept: The peacekeeping force. Protects the merchants, hunts down pirates. Goal is to destory all pirates. While not the main objective, you'll need gold to upgrade, add ships, and to hire more men.

Gold methods:

  • Sink or Kill Pirates
  • Get boni from merchants
  • Regular intervals of gold from high command
  • Build outpost to tax the populace

The economic system would be very complex, and i planned to make tons of shops and industries. Gold can be used to buy more shops, upgrade boats, hire mercs...etc.

Dawn of the potato people.
Farmer Flint finds that he can grow somewhat super intelligent humanoids and others on his farm. By cutting wood in the enchanted jungle he gains materials to build these unusual farm. Plowing the fields, units grow slowly (trigger effect) watered (gp) and sunned (effect), they are at his command. Now he is ready to get those squatters and tourist off his Island.
Crop yields: potato people (throwing axe men), Fire monkeys (idea from above), attacking berry bushes, and suicidal chicken bombs. Win by clearing Island of inhabitance and removing the evil Mayor Swavay.

By my vote I actually meant to strikeout the title. It would also be nice to put the person who used the idea's name under the "original idea by ____" line.

Idea:

In an island far far away called Corbasina, there lives a peaceful people. When their island was taken over by Rithma, High King of Germanic Raiders, they suffered. They were not held captive in prison cells or jails, but since the island wood was no good for shipbuilding, they were prisoners on their own island. They refuse to talk until they rid of their captors.

They suffer silently, but they swear to avenge themselves, when they learn to unite.

That's where you come in. Explore the island of Corbasina, and unite the peaceful island natives, to compete their vow for revenge.

I posted this idea before, but I don't know where it went.

Someone really ought to sticky this...
