I decided to give you allow you all a peek in my upcoming project: City of Chaos

CITY OF CHAOS
City of Chaos is a multiplayer game for 4 players. Each player starts with 4 heroes. In the beginning of the game, each player chooses one of the seven bases located throughout the city.

The base you have chosen stays your base for the entire game. Enemys cannot conquer your base.
The goal of this game is to kill all enemy heroes. In your base, units will get spawned to protect your heroes and attack other players. You can receive tons of upgrades by gathering gold.

GATHERING GOLD
There are three ways to gather gold:

1: Gather relics and bring them to your base.

2: Conquer Lure's

3: Build Towers in the special area's

All three ways will require your heroes to move around the city. (Camping won't get you far in this game). If you dominate the city and gathers the most gold, you have the advantage to hunt down your enemy

LITTLE EXTRAS

This game has some little extra thingy's to make it more fun:

-Diplomacy select. You can choose a FFA or 2vs2 game at the beginning of the game.
-Boot Platform. Found in many scenarios. Also in this one
-Intro Cinematic. Nice instruction video prior to the game.
-Signs. Signs throughout the city tell you what building you are looking at.

PLAYTEST
I may need some playtesters to finetune the gameplay. I still have a lot of work to do on this map, so it will take a while before the playtesting starts. But if you are interested in playtesting this map, you can give me your email-adress by sending it to dj_reinfire@hotmail.com, or by putting it in this thread (whatever you like best). When its time for playtesting, I will contact you and we can make an arrangement. I will need +- 3 to 6 playtesters.

If you have any comments about the screenshots or about the content of this thread, please tell me, and I will see what I can do.

Interresting, although it looks a bit empty, maybe a bit more eyecandy/useless bulding/etc.

Hmm, I think I doesn't matter much that not every piece of ground is coverd by something. Some space is allways good

I saw you use wonders and shrines. You know that will change in game, and I doubt the person who is playing might not know what god to put the computer. So, unless you have a neat back up plan, and might be a good idea to fix that.

Looks good though

Well, only some buildings are affected that. But Poseidon wonders are so awesome in eye-candy. But I'll think of something.

The eyecandy is truly amazing, definitely the best I've seen. The map has a very crisp, clear layout, so the eyecandy doesn't get in the way. An awesome map.

I'd be delighted to playtest it. My email is greyshark7 at hotmail dot com.

This isn't bad, but you haven't seen enough eye-candy.

Echowinds, perhaps yours and my definitions of eyecandy are different. I include buildings in my definition; the buildings on this map are very well made and, in my knowledge, largely original.

I can see how one may judge the eyecandy to be mediocre; after all, terrain mixing and objects like bushes, flowers, etc, seem to be scarce. However, it is in my opinion that these take from the functionality of maps, and, should, largely, not be used.

By the way Reinfire, when do you plan to playtest?

Reinfire this looks great. Good eye-candy, imo. I can't wait for it to be in the Download section.

I am afraid I will have to test your patience with this map, because I have less time than I thought because of school, social life, work etc.

Don't expect this to be in the DL section soon

It looks a little empty and a bit too organised for 'chaos'...

BTW: Plural words don't have an 's . Just an s.

Oh yeah BTW I will playtest if you'd like. Please contact at greenliquid@gmail.com

@ AOMPlayer

If I made the city fuller, the movement of units would not be smootly. I allready have problems with that as it is

@ gummyworm

With you included, the number of playtesters is now 6. That makes a nice amount. I dont think I would need more playtesters now.

The playtesters are now:

Canadian_Dawwg
TheMightyLemon
OutlandishTeacup
greyshark
Tonyu56
gummyworm

I know that most people volunteerd a long time ago and if in the meantime, they dont want to playtest anymore, I will respect that without hard feelings

I am heartbroken :'(

It seems that this map will never see the light of day. I cant open the map anymore. When I try I get the following error:

My documents/My Games/Age of Mythology/Scenario/CoC.scx failed to load.

I have tried reinstalling the game, but it doesnt help. It seems like this map is lost forever. And I was stupid enough not to make backups

I am sorry to disappoint everyone who were looking forward to this map. But you people havent seen the last of me. I have started on my own mini-campaign, and of course I will participate in the AOMH-community campaign. And this time I will make backups to prevent a repeat of this catastrofe.
