PROJECT ON HOLD

Features


Open World Adventure
Move about an intricately designed city on a nonlinear self guided path,
interact with the environment to make different things happen.




Discover and learn evolving electrical powers utilized through the use of hotkeys
Utilize a Melee mode and a power mode through which the player is allowed a simple and easy to use ability setup.




Have the choice to play through as hero or anti-hero
Enjoy 2 different endings and unique missions and abilities
exclusive to each path.

Will you choose to face the trials of a hero, or leave a trail of blood in your wake

so far the only hotkey set up at the moment is the "1" key, that is used to switch between melee and power mode. There wont me mini games, but not all missions will be hack and slash, in fact, not alot of them will be hack and slash, many will be puzzles, or challenges, much like minigames.

CURSES! I did a preliminary test of base functions online with T_W_B and the hotkey setup causes sync errors...

ok the first playtest was a bust, there was a synk error, BUT MAN! before the error it was GREAT!

If you're using group numbers for hotkeys, look up AuroraP's thread about online hotkeys.

You need one extra step for multiplayer

SP:
Cond: Unit Selected
Effect: effect

MP:
Cond: Unit Selected
Effect: uiTransformToUnit (or select + ui delete selected units, which is how logazzacavolo does it)
Cond: units in area (so it goes off when the ui thing happens)
Effect: effect, + reset the trigger units to original state.

You need that intermediate step to sidestep the oos

I think mine (well actually I just combined Aurora (groups) and nottud (uiDeleteSelectedUnit) ways) is a bit better because you can change the unit immediatly after create the groups in an invisible unit like a cine block and probably it is slightly faster (on MP it takes about half a second to activate)

just call it zombie fac or zombie factory, anyway P_J_B do I have your msn? And I could give it a go to implement inventory triggers in your map, though it would be different from my one since I used 2x more triggers and effects to make it have primary 'n' secondary storage.

Yes of course I'd be up to help you again but also EXOLAR knows how to use them and probably even better and smoother than me because I did never really implement them on a map (only the example included in the pack).

Sorry for the delay guy, I'm working on it but I need some info:

Do I need to do a working (your one would cause OoS) hotkey setup to change the hypaspist to slinger and viceversa or only to show the inventory?

I guess if the hotkeys must work only with the hypaspist, I should need to locate the first cinematic and fire the triggers from that, but it seems I can't see where it is...

Lets see if i can explain this any better...

at the beginning of the game you have control of a prisoner unit.
after completing that part of the game a cinematic occurs and the prisoner disappears. the player then takes control of a hypastpist unit and that becomes his main unit for the rest of the game.

As a game play element the hypastpist covers all melee combat, but to use your electrical powers the player must switch to slinger mode. In slinger mode you can shoot lighting at enemies etc etc. Also the player will learn new unique powers that he or she will be able to use as they progress through the game. I need the inventory triggers to allow the player to switch between slinger and hypastpist aswell as use powers.

does that clear things up a bit?

That's ok, I'll try my best, but I still can't find the location of the cinematic.. can you tell me the name of the trigger(s) so I can put some effect at the end of it which ativate the Inventory?

btw the map is awesome, I see a lot of building eyecandies

Its in the group entitled training. I beleive the cinimatic triggers were E1 throught to 8 if i remember correctly. I hope that helps.
