A thread where we can all get advice on making sigs, CONSTRUCTIVE critiscism on our current sigs or request new material (quotes, jokes etc)). Now also the nearly complete encyclopedia of useable UBB code at HG.

FAQ:
To create a sig go to my account -> Log In -> Edit signature
Hexadecimal # is short for Hexidecimal Number or Hexadecimal RGB. It is a series of 6 numbers or letters that tell the browser what color to display.

Turning UBB Code Off in Your Posts: [ubboff]Text[ubbon];[b]Bold text with no bold[/b] ***NOTE***: [ubboff] is closed with [ubbon] not [/ubboff]. It also for some reason deletes these tags when you edit, so its a good idea to back up any post using [ubboff] and [ubbon].

The Code Tag preserves spaces in posts. Good for making tables, charts etc.

This CANNOT be done in sigs though I thought I would add it anyways. This is inserting an image:[IMG]url[/IMG]
You can 'add' images to your sig by making a link to the URL instead.

Tips and Miscellaneous:

Don't use bright colors or neon if you plan on posting here unless you want that part to be hard to read on purpose
Use the preview button before saving changes
Quotes should be in quotes or italicized and the name of the person who said it afterwards.
Whispered sigs are nice and generaly are more aesthetic to the general public they also take up less space, which is good to
If you want to find how to make a special character/symbol and have a PC use the following method:
Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map -> Look around till you find them
For a Mac:
Apple Icon in the top left -> Key Caps -> Experiment

Don't ask stupid questions. We all know the reason why HG doesn't allow pics in sigs. If you want a pic link it. If you want to keep your current sig and have a link embedded in it via link ask me and I can show you how.

That is still an animation. Well a type of animation called a marquee. You cna do them in HTML but not to my knowledge in UBB.

Acamas, text is fine. Sigs are meant to be just sigs, not fancy moving stuff or pics. They're fine how they are.

But I wouldn't want to lose the Rookie quote. I entered that in my sig but it exceeded 6 lines....wait, i'll be back. I'm gonna change my sig to somethign compeltely new...
