Topic Subject: ipso's mysterious spamzorz filter- a testing thread
posted 05 August 2004 06:35 PM EDT (US)
ok, there has been a horrific (sic) incident around the forums recently. a new spam filter!?!!?

basically, on the low-down, it stops "multiple similar submissions". anyone who wants to test it with me may do so by carrying out a seriese of tests.

test 1
everyone says a phrase, after each other. when you get the message, print screen it and post the pic using http://www.imageshack.us/.when no one can post the phrase, we move on to the second test.

test 2
a new phrase is used, and each forummer changes it slightly. this will detect weather the filter can detect rhyme, alliteration, and other poetic techniques, while also testing forummer's knowledge of the alpha-ma-bet. again, take screens and commically edit it at will to bad-mouth other forummers . when people get bored (and they will have done by now) we move on to the 3rd and final test:

test 3
we find new and interesting* ways of making a mockery of ipso's mysterious spamzorz filter. this means anyone who can get the phrase in after someone has posted a pic of the thingy, they get a cookie. people will also have to fight the perils of boredom at this stage.

so, the phrase:

"jimmy had a squimmy dimmy doodle woodle."

if you think you have a better phrase, post it. if you break the chain then the spider lord will eat you.

things we know so far: it can be....

ok, i'll be honest here. im bored now, and this thread isnt going to catch on. prove me wrong. go on.

go!

Where be your gibes now? your gambols? your songs?
Your flashes of merriment, that were wont to set the table on a roar?
Not one now, to mock your own grinning?

I'm confused, and tired *yawns* but meh so what if it's +1.

Plus there is always a way to bypass ANY filter on a forum that allows UBB. It's quite simple try to figure it out

Oprichniks are the best units in AoE3. Why? It's elementary, they're Horse-riding Russian Pirates, nothing beats Horse-riding Russian Pirates.
