I'm trying to edit the texture of a fire giant to match the picture, but I can't find the head in the texturemap. I converted
special n fire giant
, and I can't find any others that might work.

The head is in that texture, all in one , it is the central image i think
But there are also
special n fire giant icon 64 - other icon
special n fire giant icon - the icon
special n fire giant footprint map - the footprint

The second picture is where the colours go.

Are you sure? I thought the center of the texture part contained the body.

you can check in the firegiant.anim file if a head is attached..if so you'll c the filename.. in this case it isn't so the head is prolly indeed the center of the texture

this is what I do if it is hard to tell..paint areas with distinct colors(like blue, white) and look in-game to see where that area is...i guess that is only if you are going to change the whole unit....well you could do that, take a screenshot, then print out the changed bmp file...then open up a new fire giant file and use the pictures as reference of where everything is...

Thanks! I'll try that.

Does anyone know a program for bmp files apart from Paint, cause I am trying to make a skin but I can't do this thing with Paint.

Well, I always use Adobe Photoshop or JASC Paintshop Pro for working with BMP files. Paint is just too limiting and aggravating.

If you don't have Photoshop you can download GIMP at http://gimp.org for free. It's supposed to be similar, but harder to use and includes scripting.
