A mod from Epic Studios
Epic Studios presents, the Macedonian Phalangite!

Epic Studios once more strives for excellence with their new modification to Age of Mythology, the Macedonian Phalangite! Upon downloading this mod, we have assured that you, the consumer, that this mod will be good enough quality for a professional scenario. Of course, a scenario is what you can put them in!

This Mod Features
  • Brand new high quality models.
  • Brand new high quality animations.
  • Brand new high quality and historically accurate textures.
  • Historically accurate stats and history files.

    With their massive attack range using their long spears, the Phalangite was a force to be reckoned with. This feeling of power, that is what Epic Studios aimed for, and we at Epic Studios believe we accomplished our goal.

    We hope you enjoy this mod as much as we enjoyed making it. At Epic Studios we are dedicated to quality! When this mod comes out, feel free to use it in your own campaigns and scenarios.

    This has been completed (I beleive) we just haven't released it so expect it very soon. When it comes out I will update this thread with screenshots.

    This is just a preview, the textures are going to be diferent cause Dope make a better ones, but you may get an idea...

    The units are lacking decals, I think with decals they would look much better. Right now it looks like they are floating (also due to their anim which looks a bit weird).

    As in shadows? I'll create one in a few seconds for it. Dope just sent me new textures, which look amazing, but I haven't seen them on the units yet. This should be released soon, I have a few problems with the models but other than that it's pretty good.

    Also, Epic Studios is now playtesting our Hoplites, which should be coming out very soon as well.

    This mod as well as the hoplites should be released in two weeks at most but it'll probably be released sooner.

    Another secret project should also be released in this time. The offivial showcase will be posted in a day or two.

    Using Macedonian soldeirs is a very novel idea. A rather underated culture as there empire was one of the greatest the world ever saw (that of Alexander the Great).

    This will be perfect for scenarios and campaghns . I'm doing a scenario called "Kings of War". It is celebration of Histories great warrior kings and I thought Alexander would be perfect for one of them (along with Arthur, David, Leonides, Spartacus, Ashurpanal, etc.). He'll be excuded if I don't get this mod. It drives crazy when people say he was Greek.

    Yo peeps, I don't want this mod to die so i have done some work that will (hopefully) save it. I have used a few SPQR models and textures to spice up this mod, hopefully making it more appealing to the eye and worthy of the name "Epic Studios". (Note: In-game the unit is called the Pezhetairoi)

    hoplites where from the hellenes(athens, spartans etc.)
    they had large heavy shields, mostly a corinthian or illirian helmet and a short spear.

    phalagnites where from macedon(Alexander the Great)
    they have smaller shields, mostly wear a Thracian helmet and always have a spear of 3 to 4 meters.

    also the phalanx sturctures has diffrents
