I've decided since its taking me a while to finish up most of my new units that I'm going to release the ones I think look half decent for now, heres a screenshot of the units included:-

Back row list:-

Felguard, Kratos, Hellscream, Dovahkiin

Front row list:-

Dwarf King, Arthas, Viking

They are all heroes but only Kratos, Dovahkiin, Dwarf King and Arthas have recover animations, the others will sink into the ground when they die similar to other disposable AOM heroes.

:O they look amazing but the link doesn't work for me.

Btw is there a limit of how many vertices a model can have?

Edit: oh nvm I had to copy the link instead of clicking on it

We cannot rely on luck to be successful.

I've updated the link it should work now, models for AOM usually start messing up in game if you go past around 20k verticles or maybe the number is a bit higher but you can get very detailed models working in AOM still

HOW TO INSTALL ?
posted 17 May 2013 06:47 AM EDT (US)     6 / 22
Put all the files that are inside the folders (such as the .brg files in the models folder) into your own AOM folder, so you put all the models into your own models folder, anim into your own anim, sounds into your own sound, textures to your textures and icons to the icons folder inside the texture folder.

For adding the data file into your proto(x) heres a guide of how to edit it and telling you what tools to use:-

Sorry I haven't tried to make my units available in-game, just in the editor.

If you just wanted to install the modpack for use in the editor all you need to do is copy the text in the 'data' file to the end of your proto(x).xml

To replace a unit like arkantos with dovakhin you would need to replace the arkantos anim file with the dovakhin one by renaming the dovakhin anim to arkantos, but this would be a little difficult as their are about 3 or 4 different arkantos unit variations.

Try posting in one of the question threads about how to replace a hero with a new one though maybe someone else could help more.

Hi Emjer, nice to see old modders stopping by!

Yes these are all animated by me, I finally learned how to animate recently and decided rather than continue editing AOM models I thought I would try my luck with some from other games.

I'm slowly getting better but I'm still learning with GMAX so hopefully my next modpack will have some improved animations.

Here are some screenshots of what I'm working on at the moment

-- Achilles, Ajax cinematic & Hercules (just a size comparison picture using ajax's cine model to show how good these models look)

-- Hercules so far I have only finished his idle and bored animations

-- Achilles just needs his death and recover animations

Maybe you could start modding AOM again you made some really epic stuff in the past :P

Are you working on a modpack? I've been speaking to crazydragon on skype recently and we were thinking about putting a small project together, would be great to have you involved!

These are absolutely fantastic!

Havent really visited Aomheaven for a while and I assumed it had died, it's so nice to see that it hasnt.

These models really make me want to try my hand at making models again

Yeah I think I'll give it a go, I had a project that I can pick up again.

Also out of curiosity, which games did you get the hercules model from? (I assume it's from a game because you mentioned using models from other games)

Rise of the Argonauts, its got some great models that fit perfectly with AOM so I'll probably try and do as many characters from that as I can but aswell as heroes there are some models I would like to use as normal units such as the gladiators

I really love the Hercules model, I hope you release it soon.

@EMJER: Nice to see you
