Hello DM World. Hows EveryBody Doing? I See Ferris Wolves Are Still Running Rampid ! Well Lets Get Down To The Subject At Hand . While Most Civs Have Powerfull Units Zeus Rules Them All. If You Counter Correctly And Use The God path I Am About To Give You Will Be Able To Have A Very Strong Offence With Speed While Maintaining A Great Defence.

Hoplite Move Faster And Infantry Do Bonus Damage To Buildings
Starts With 25% More Favor And Has Limit Of 200 Which Is A Huge Advantage
Faster Favor Generation

The Most Important Starting Advantage Is Favor. It Lets You Build A Myth Arm So That When You Hit The Mythic Age You Can Really Do Some Damage To Your Enemys Army With The Starting Bonus. Hopelites Are Faster And Infantry Seek And Destroy Buildings. This Is Usefull Because At The Start Of Almost Every DM That Your Gonna Play Against A Seasoned Norse Player They Are Gonna Try And Back Build On You. Always Use A Group Of Hoplites To Search Around Your Blind Spots And Destroy These Bases As Soon As You Can. If You Dont GAME OVER! It Only Takes 3 Ulfs To Make A Hillfort And 2 Temples. He Then has The Option Of Ramming You Fire Giant Spamming , Or My Personal Favorite Ferris Wolves With Rocket Boots. So Its Just A Good Idea To Check Your Back No Matter Who You Are Playing.

Here Is My Build / Villager Start. Once You Get To The Heroic Age You Are On Your Own. DM Is Very Different From RM In The Way That It Should Only Take You A Minute Or So To Get To The Heroic Age. Once You Get Passed This Point You May Already Be Fighting . It Fast Pace Action And 1 Missed Villager Can Kill Your Perfect Start. Its Very Important To Be Fast And Smart At The Beginning Of A DM Game . Anyway Here It Goes.

The Very First Thing You Should Do Is Que A Villager At Yor Starting TC . Take All Of Your Starting Villagers And Build a Temple Facing The Enemy .(Dont Worry The Villager Takes Less Time To Spawn Then It Takes Your Villagers To Make The Temple. This Gives You 1 Villager Up On Your Enemy WithOut Slowing Your Advancement Time Down.) Once You Have Placed The Temple On The Map Click On 1 Villager To Take Him For Your Houses. Its Very Important To Me To Hide Your Houses If You Can . I Usually Try And Place Them Along The Maps Edge Between Trees So Its Easy To Wall Them Off Later On When The Houses Are Built. Putting The Houses Along The Edge Also Means The Enemy Has To Come All The Way Across The Map To Get To Them.
In The Mean Time Your Villager Will Come Out Before The Temple Pops.Keep The Way Point Of The Next Few Villagers Close To The Side You Are Going To Build Armory And Market On. Your Temple Is Done And You Select Your Next God . While You Are Still Selected On Your TC To Advance Que 2 More Villagers . Select The Newly Spawned Villager And Place Your Armory.(When The Next 2 New Villagers Come Out Place Them On The Armory Build. They Will Both Spawn Before You Can Complete The Build On This Building. This Gives You 2 Extra Villagers Over Your Enemy.) Try To Keep It Close To The TC It Will Act As A Blocker For Any Attack On The Starting TC. Go To Your Temple And Max Out On Your Myth. In My Case It Would Be 5 Centaur. Select All Off Your Villager On The Temple And Start Building Military Buildings.Its IMPORTANT To Place Your Buildings So That The Further Building Are Placed First . The Villagers Will Start Building The Last Building You Placed Not The First.

Here Is Where You Win Or Lose Against a Smart Player.

Build 2 Infantry Buildings First Then 2 Stables Then 2 Archery Ranges Then Second Temple
Remember To Scout Blind Spots Against Norse Player Especially. Use Your Free Scout To See Where They Are Building And Attack It Right Away.

3 Stables 2 Archery Ranges 1 Military 1 New Temple
Place All Military Building Very Close To Your TC Eggy's Have A Nasty Rush So This Will Help You Fight It Off.

3 Stables 3 Military 1 New Temple

As Soon As You See All 7 Out Lines Of The Military Building On The Ground Split The Villies Up! Send 2 On Walls RIGHT AWAY Wall Off Weak Spots First. Send 2 To Spam Military Away From Yor Tc Use Your Best Judgement On Where You Will Need Them In The Near Future For A Battle.This Move Will Also Protect You From A Hades Pestilence.
Pop Goes Your Armory! Advance To Heroic Age And Que 2 More Villagers From Starting TC. Take The 3 Villagers That Built The Armory And Have Them Build A Market. Now Here Is Where It Gets Tricky. Do You Place The Market Next to Your Tc? Or Do You Send The Villagers On A Hike To Get The Longest Trade Route For The Top $$$ Per Donkey? Its Really Up To You And The Map Your On. Long Trade Routes Are Hard To Defend And Picked Off By Wolves. So You Need To Decide Whats Best For You. By This Time Most Of The Starting Military Buildings Are Done Take Some Villagers To Build 2 Fortress . The Others Should Be Sent To Work On Towers And Walls And Yet More Military Buildings Of Your Choice. By This Time You Will Be Fighting And Its All Countering Units And ECON That Will Win The Game For You. If You Follow Theis Set Up You Will Have 5 Extra Villagers With Now Slow Down In Advacement Time. 5 Villagers Is A Huge Advantage. Thats My Start It Should Help Any Zeus Player Get To At Least 1700+.

Play Smart And Counter Units Correctly
Tower Up Where You Will Be Fighting. Towers Are Like Extra POP Without Taking Up Military Pop.
Have 6 Villagers Up Front To Build What You Need.

Ill be Doing A Second Part To Zeus On God Path. I Know This Was A Very Long Post But It Explains A Lot And I Hope Every Greek Players Can Take Something From It.
