Alright everyone, I have came to save the day. Follow these directions presicely. (Note: I will explain how to do it using Windows XP, because that is what I have.)

-Click Start
-Click Control Pannel
-Click Add/Remove Programs
-Click on the program called: "Internet Explorer SP Q832894"
-Click Remove
-Once removed the Uninstaller will prompt you to Restart your Computer
-you must restart your computer
-When computer is restarted start Age of Mythology: Titans
-Go into multiplayer
-Go into advanced setup
-Click host at the bottom of the screen (to host your own game)
-Type any name you want
-When you get into the game fill all open slots with computers (you can do this by clicking on the spot and on the dropdown list clicking random)
-Then click other settings in the bottom, and mark the box that says "Allow Cheats"
-Start the game against the computer(s)
-Press enter when the game starts
-type: THRILL OF VICTORY (note: this must be in caps lock)
-you will win the game
-all of your previous stats from quick setup will be uploaded to the server
-From now on when you play quick setup games they will work properly uploading the stats.

Thats it, if any questions please ask me.

Have fun Gaming!!!

Yea, I try to help make the experience easier and more friendly for those people who want to play online.

I know from experience nice people are hard to pass by online, especially during a game.

Have fun!

By following the above instructions you are leaving your computer "unprotected" against the security vulnerabilities fixed by the Q832894 update.

Anyway there are already threads on this; I can't imagine you "found" the solution.

A better solution is to use Windows restore (assuming you are running XP or Me) to go back to a configuration before the update was applied (system should have made a restore point called Windows Update V4 before the patch was applied).

The reason this is better is that the update is a "cumulative" patch so it rolls in a whole lot of earlier security patches. By taking the update off you are probably removing all the earlier patches while using restore will only leave you without the latest bits ... yes still a bit risky but the patch is all about preventing people taking control of your computer by getting you to visit a malicious site so just be careful ....

Do you think that ES or microsoft will fix the problem so we don't have to uninstall the vital security patch?
posted 07 February 2004 07:04 PM EDT (US)     6 / 63
No Robo - you can uninstall only the latest update and leave the computer on the last known configuration.

I did that and it works and earliers updates are still there - however the system restore will also work and probably just as well (except that it will change all other changes you have made since the chosen date as well as the ones made in the update).

IamDominique you would definetly be correct.

I am not suggesting that anyone should or should not do this uninstall. However I did find a solution (the definition for solution is: "the disentanglement of any intricate problem or difficult question; explanation; clearing up.") to this problem, I found a way to clear it up so that it does not happen anymore.

The reason for me posting this is to help other people that want to play the game the way it is supposed to be played, without errors.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW THAT IF IN THE FUTURE YOU WOULD NOT LIKE ME TO LET OTHERS KNOW OF THINGS THAT WORK.

Have fun Gaming

The download you requested is unavailable. If you continue to see this message when trying to access this download, you might try the "Search for a Download" area on the Download Center home page.

You can try ZSLUpload until there is a workaround. Works for my Age of Mythology 2,4 error.

Please explain what you mean by you can't download games.

Are you talking about in advanced setup, where you get to the end of the download, then it says that there was an error downloading the map file? Or something like that?

For a fast upload it's best to do it that way.

If you don't do it, you have to wait to play another game before your stats are uploaded

This fix doesn't work for me. I can't find any zsl files in my computer. Any other ideas, I am doing nothing except losing points right now.
posted 27 February 2004 11:10 AM EDT (US)     23 / 63
With this fix you don't need to locate .zsl files, it automatically fixes it.
