We already have a guide, which is far more detailed.

Quote:

Create a trigger, called LIGHTNING1:

Loop, High priority.
Condition: timer 18 secs. (this is the frequency you want the lightning.)
Effect: Set lighting VX Twilight (or Eclipse)
Fire event: LIGHTING1 END

3) Making it works.

Create a trigger, called LIGHTNING1 END:

High priority.
Condition: timer milisseconds 200 (really fast)
Effect: Set lighting VX Stormybrood (the original one!)

Do your research.

The game doesn't come with stormbrood lighting!

If you don't have it then you will have to use code to set the ligtings. If you want to know how read my XS code guide. Type nottud in authur and put xs in search and you should find it.

It is a custom lighting, but the guide also states where to find it and what the alternatives are.

Good guide, Two_ace_u! I like it how your trigger layout is very clean, simple, and organized, so it was very easy to read! Thanks for sharing it

Quoted from Paperfriend:

We already have a guide, which is far more detailed.

As nottud mentioned, that method involves the use of custom lighting files, so it is totally different from this method by Two_ace_u's, which uses the cinematic's Fade to Color Effect.

From how I see it, both methods are better in different situations:

1) The method of using lighting files seems to be suitable for during-gameplay lightning.

2) The Fade-to-Color method seems better when doing cinematics.

Use both .

But I highly doubt that needs a guide, about the custom lightings, see my post above.

But fine, I will add a note in the guidelist for this.

This is my signature. I wasn't feeling enthusiastic enough to write something witty. Sorry everyone, sorry.

That is amazing! A guide to make a lightning with:
- a lightning ( ... always helps... )
- the sound of a lightning
- the light of a lightning
- the lightning God Power
- a condition: When You want the lightning to appear: that's the best part: not after but not before. Basically you fire the lightning... when you want a lightning!

I would have never tought of it. It really needed to be said!

Okay, now everyone:
Paperfriend, this is just a joke Two_ace_u wanted to try on you and... we all agreed to participate. I know...
But I had to reveal the whole story when I saw you almost put this among the guides. I couldn't let this happen.

@ Two_ace_u
Be extremly careful with looping animation effects such as lightning. Lag. Fast and humongus! Just to get myself forgiven...
