CASTWCRT Triggers here, please. Now we won't overflood the TRT with our expert trigger discussions!

OK, for those who are wondering... CASTWCRT stands for Confederation for Abolishment of Simple Triggers so We Can Redo Them. This was started by three trigger soon-to-be experts, Guard of Osiris, Guard of Olympus, and lostrozzacavalli. We try to do all simple triggers that haven't been done yet...

Is it possible to put the trigger conditions and effects into a table? Otherwise we might end up with a very long first post.

It's fine how it is looks wise, I was more just concerned about the length.

There's six of us now and let's say we average 10 trigger effects each then that's a long post if we list them all, but if we put it in a table it's much shorter.

The table I put in needs a bit of work on the formatting like the alignment and stuff but it should give a rough idea about the difference in length.

An all in one storm trigger does sound a bit complicated. Maybe try working with smaller elements that can be used in a storm. I've just made a Lightning Strike effect that flashes and shakes the screen while playing a sound (by default lightningstrike4.wav). If you combine this with QV Timer (which I also just made) and Quest Var Randomise then you can get a lightning storm effect.

Here's the trigger set up, the new condition QV Timer and the new effect Lightning Strike. Feel free to play around with it and build on it for your storm triggers.

Ok then, let me get this strait. For the secret messages effects and condition, is it completely safe from anyone seeing them? cause if its in the scenarios data, and i am the only oe with the custom coding in the trigger, then will it be completely safe from anyone seeing my passwords in a map?

Jeez, they didnt see ya? Hmm. Well guys, Im fresh out of ideas for triggers to make , any of you have an idea of what i could do for a trigger? I understand how for the basics, but i just don't know what to do.

If your stuck with what to make, just look at any condition or effect that takes a number as a parameter and make a QV version of it.

Perpetual: QV Timer and QV Timer ms already exist... Please see at the your list of triggers before start triggering, because it's useless work and if we made a trigger pack with effect equal to other triggers but with a different name, then people will have 2 triggers that do the same thing...

There's too many trigger packs to go through to see if something already exists before I make it. If there was simply a list I could look at then that would be fine, but having to open up all the xml files and search them is annoying.

It's not a complete waste of time to make them ourselves, it's good practice. If we then find they already exist then we just don't include them in the trigger pack.
