CASTWCRT Triggers here, please. Now we won't overflood the TRT with our expert trigger discussions!

OK, for those who are wondering... CASTWCRT stands for Confederation for Abolishment of Simple Triggers so We Can Redo Them. This was started by three trigger soon-to-be experts, Guard of Osiris, Guard of Olympus, and lostrozzacavalli. We try to do all simple triggers that haven't been done yet...

Hmmm, strange. I came in here earlier today looking for 'modify protounit all' (Which I had seen a few days before), found QV modify protounit all, copied it, used it, now I'm back to pass long thanks for making it, and now I can't find it in the list up top to direct my thanks at one person in particular...

So, whomever made the effect, THANKS!

EDIT: Now I find it! Thanks, Perpetual. It's a neat effect.

I have a question though... are you guys just making effects and conditions, or are you making them for maps you have or because you need them?

Teh Wut Wut. I originally made many/most of my effects because I actually needed them for my own creations. (one of which im working on now) But I evolved with the PC triggers line, which became a group of triggers dedicated for a specific type of effect/condition. PC stands for protounit control.

To make the long CASTWCRT story short, me, Olympus, and lostrozzacavalli were making random triggers and uploading them, debugging them, and discussing them in the TRT. lostrozzacavalli thought we should be called Confederation For the Abolishment of Simple Triggers so We Can Redo Them. Olympus thought of the idea of releasing a trigger pack, so I created this thread. A few other people joined us, and here we are now, with over 50 triggers...

You're very welcome, I'm glad people are using my effects.

I make trigger effects and conditions for a number of different reasons, often because I'm going to use it or someone has requested something or I see one that someone else has made and I've thought of a variation.

At the moment I'm working on a few different scenarios and I'm creating a few new effects for those.

I wanted to learn how to script triggers. Looked into Mythic Freaks guide, and got too confused.

So now I just wish I knew how to make triggers. It's just awesome.

Oh, i hope that you become a trigger maker. It is actually very simple once you get into it. Triggers are quite simple actually, they have two basic parts. One, the parameters, these are what the selections and type in boxes in the editor and game are. Then, there are the commands, this is the full purpose of the condition and/or effect, it is what makes stuff happen. Look at this guide, read it, its dry, but you will understand well if you read fully.

On another note members of CASTWCRT, I have created a new trigger, Fire Event Quest Var, and am in the making of two others, actually redoing my old PC unit create at proto unit trigger. I am making it the same, just adding in a part to make it so you can create multiple units, like the broken unit create multi. HailtotheOboe has generously led me in the right direction, and made unit create at unit multi, which i give him full credit for. But i shall also be making the normal unit create in area multi. So basically, there are two new triggers I will have. OH WAIT, i will also make a Fire Event Time effect. And i will make a PC Protounit Heading. And if Fire Event Multi has not been made yet, then i will have credit for making one.
