CASTWCRT Triggers here, please. Now we won't overflood the TRT with our expert trigger discussions!

OK, for those who are wondering... CASTWCRT stands for Confederation for Abolishment of Simple Triggers so We Can Redo Them. This was started by three trigger soon-to-be experts, Guard of Osiris, Guard of Olympus, and lostrozzacavalli. We try to do all simple triggers that haven't been done yet...

There's a trigger that sets an AI in-game? Holy! That solves the problem right there! Which is it? And how is it used?

Haha, yeah there is. I thought you were talking here in full knowlege of the existing ai trigger effect. It is called AI func. And you know how in the editor you can set the ai? Well for the effect, you have to type in that name of the ai. Make sure you use one of the actual ais and not a subfunction. If you want to disable the ai, i suppose you could just set it blank or as a subfunctin, and it would not work.

Hmm? It don't work? I thought that the way it works is you just type in the name of the ai, and it does it? No i havent done it, i just think thats how it works.

I thought that was the one you were referring to. But I've tried using that to figure out what it was for. So I could put down a paragraph in the trigger guide thing I was writing. But I didn't manage to make it work.

Would it be possible to read the trigger itself and see how it's supposed to be used?

It is superior and different from any other god power effects. One) It can invoke the power anywhere, because it uses units to work. So if you want an area instead, use cinematic blocks. Two) It grants the powers and invokes them all at once. So no more pesky having to grant first. Three) You can choose any number. So it can invoke more than one at one time. But those damned atlantean recharges still evade me, so dont use them.

That one doesn't work, it f*ked up my triggerfile it has some numbers or other codes it doesn't understand, somethings wrong with the script.

This is because html change this: %Da into Ú...
This is the same trigger without that problem:

@ Hail - Of course! I would have never gotten anywhere when starting trigger scripting without you, you really have helped me a lot. Oh and I did see your post in the trigger thread, I understood, but I dont think I will be making the Affect things, now that I think about them, I dont need them all that much.

Hey lasstrozzy, I don't see why you complain about people misspelling your name. They purposely go out of their way to misspell mine. You seen the voting for two CSC's ago? It was completely horrendous. Even yeeb put my name misspelled in the threads title. I dont mind though, in fact sometimes when people do that, it livens up my day, gives me a laugh. Its all in good humor.

Oh and everyone, when I am done with Nomadican, we can try to put together the trigger pack, as I will be free from burdens to focus on this.
