CASTWCRT Triggers here, please. Now we won't overflood the TRT with our expert trigger discussions!

OK, for those who are wondering... CASTWCRT stands for Confederation for Abolishment of Simple Triggers so We Can Redo Them. This was started by three trigger soon-to-be experts, Guard of Osiris, Guard of Olympus, and lostrozzacavalli. We try to do all simple triggers that haven't been done yet...

Nice! It's like a better vesion of AA Objective.
I made it after seeing AA Objective, thinking it was a good idea to combine all those items it just lacked sound.

I basically just copied AA Objective, trimmed it a little and stuck in sound.

The sound caused me a bit of trouble trying to include it. I couldn't get it to work as just a command with values specified, so I ended up including sound filename selection with new_objective.wav as a default.

I won't join officially just yet, wouldn't want you to have to change the banner again so soon but I'll definitely contribute some of my triggers if you'd like.

The Wizard's Path is coming along nicely, everything is done except the very end part, just having some minor issues trying to get things to work how I want them.

I came up with a similar Teleport to Army effect. The only difference I can see between mine and yours is that I have the ,0, between the X and Z that you were told to take out and I don't have the line to clear unit selection

No, it's yours. I didn't even try to make it until I saw yours. I made it because yours looked like it would work and I wanted to try to figure out why it wouldn't. The credit belongs to you, but you can call it a collaboration if you don't want to take full credit. Anyway I just changed an Army Teleport To Army effect that someone else had written so I can't take full credit for my help.

I once tried to make an Army Move To Army effect, took me a long time to work out all the bugs. Finally got them all sorted out then the next day I found the same effect in a trigger pack that someone had made years before.

I think I found the problem with your version, lostrozz.
<Command>loop="" loopParm="SrcObject">trUnitSelect("%SrcObject%");</Command>
should be
<Command loop="" loopParm="SrcObject">trUnitSelect("%SrcObject%");</Command>
That's the only difference between yours and perpetual's that could break it, as far as I can tell.
Clearing unit selection and finding the Y co-ordinate really shouldn't be a problem.

When I get a trigger lock I can't spot, I comment out individual lines of the trigger and test again to try to find out which line is causing it.

Hey perpetual noob, thanks for trying, i like it, my objective setup goes good together like that. But i am wondering, could you make the sound filename part like the flash ui? Like , instead of having something typed in, could you make it so its just true or false? (on or off) And then, if you make it on, it will do like the flash ui, and it will make new_objective,wav sound.

How about leave the sound filename parameter changeable, but put new_objective.wav in as the default so you don't need to type it every time.

Changing the defaults of triggers is easy and can be a huuuuge timesaver.

Hey guys, I thought I would have a go at this. I made this simple cut and paste trigger for cinematics. It can be really useful and it works(well it does for me). It pretty much let's you create a small cinematic track easily with one trigger, so there's less copy work for cinematics.

You can add QV Set from Resource to the trigger pack if you'd like. I made it in an attempt to answer a request from Guard of Olympus in the Trigger Request thread. It's not exactly what he asked for but could be useful.

The main use for Secret Messages as far as I can see is if you want a command that players can send in chat to activate something but you don't want them just opening up the scx in the editor to find it.

Of course, in that instance you'd also want a Chat Contains Secret Condition like this:

That's the way it goes I suppose, most trigger conditions and effects have already been made by someone else.

A complete list of released trigger conditions and effects and where to find them would be useful. Maybe someone will make one one day.
