So, I've been getting into football lately and have been watching the Seattle Sounders FC whenever they're on. The Sounders stand a good chance at representing the U.S. in the 2018 or 2022 FIFA world cup.

What football team(s) are you guys rooting for? I'm for England and the Sounders FC, myself.

The Sounders stand a good chance at representing the U.S. in the 2018 or 2022 FIFA world cup.
How can a football club represent someone at the World Cup? :/

Incidentally I quite like the US national team right now because it contains Jose Altidore, one of the few good things about being a Hull City fan.

Jax, sorry for the misunderstanding; it was my fault. What I meant was that Seattle is bidding to host the 2018/2022 World Cup.

Remember, I've only recently been following the game, and I don't even know most of the technical rules (just kick the ball, get it in the net to score).

Ah, right. I'm assuming (actually not assuming, I know) that you'll have several host cities, so Seattle probably stands a solid chance of hosting some matches.

That said I'll completely start believing in a FIFA anti-England bias if we don't win the right to host the 2018 World Cup (or at least the 2022, but the 2018 would be nicer).
